We see it happening on an annual basis and we see drastic differences when we compare the climate today to 40 years ago. I can understand people debating the reasons for climate change, but I will never understand how people can simply say there is no such thing.

My outdoor thermometer (which is in the shade) hit 118. The official temperature is taken near the Willamette River, which can make it seem less hot than it really is. I didn't move to the Pacific Northwest to deal with Southern California weather. And since the further north you go, the latter the sun sets in the evening, it stays hot all night. At least, when I lived in LA, the temperature started to drop at 7 pm. In Portland, it was still 80 at midnight.

Best monologue I've seen in a long, long time. Very funny. This is the Colbert I've been missing, I wish Jon Stewart would return. They're both a real asset to journalism. Both intelligent enough to actually entertain while they tell the truth. Abbott and Costello had a holiday named after them, (in Arizona) I honestly believe that both Stuart and Colbert deserve at least the same. I'd vote for a National holiday for them.
