Thanks Stephen for the shout out! I'm the anesthesiologist who got the mention a minute into the show. The story behind it? Before the show he took audience questions. I was surprised he took my question because I was in the balcony. I just found out that day that I had been offered a job in Williamsburg, VA, I have been at same hospital since 1994 so I asked him if he'd let my old job know that I was leaving . He asked my old job and I said anesthesiologist. He asked what the new one was and I said anesthesiologist. He asked what was different, and joked would I have the patients bite bullets while in the stockades in Williamsburg? He asked my name and asked his staff to make a note of it. He was great and we spoke for a long time, to the point that he said his producer was tilling him "Jesus f-ing Christ we have a show to do!" Hence the butter churn joke. I was honored to have the mention and to be tagged on Instagram too. It was an amazing day.

That is a universal policy of essentially every government anywhere in history. Lincoln utilized the crisis of the War for Southern Independence to free slaves as an example. Thomas Jefferson utilized the crisis the French were experiencing in Haiti to triple the size of the US on the cheap. Donald Trump created (likely unintentionally) a crisis for farmers with his tariffs, resulting in a drastic decrease in farm revenue. He utilized that (self-inflicted) crisis to push for billions in farm subsidies to pump up GOP odds in the 2018 midterms. If you believe there isn’t a government that hasn’t used, or tried to use, a crisis (either real or manufactured) to their benefit you’re ignorant of reality.

The way I understand it (and I'm far from an expert) so long as the outer proteins of the virus remain relatively constant the anti-bodies still react no matter which variant RNA is contained inside the package.
The problem is that outer protein is what is causing your own immune system to attack it which leads to thrombosis. That is why so many are having clots which is leading to heart attacks, strokes, Bell's palsy, enlarged hearts. That is why I'm waiting until they fix that.

@@jayweh They aren't found everywhere because they have to be kept at a stable stupid-cold temperature. However, they mostly melt as soon as they touch your tongue. What is interesting about them is the flavor mixes like mint and chocolate or banana split, which have very individual flavors and because they are separated they don't just meld into this one flavor but remain quite distinct. I'd describe it like that Willy Wonka treat that tasted like a whole roast beef dinner in stages, only ya know, ice cream.

Neither. Pretty sure that was Brian Stack, as is much of the off-camera voice work on the show. (He often appears on camera as well.) Stephen was just referencing a practice of game show hosts to call the show's announcer by name, one of the best known of these being Johnny Olsen. Whether he slipped up, or deliberately switched from Jimmy to Johnny, I couldn't say.

The stretchy part of the comment was if you decide to go wide end first though, because the pole part would be within normal size limits.
