You see, Sam is a normal down to earth girl because she's styled like Avril Lavigne who is also a normal down to earth girl. If this weren't so focused on the AI existential questions, a different avenue would have been using this as an allegory to the dehumanization and commodification of teen pop stars and actors. Teens molded, controlled, and even physically altered like a product to make the adults in charge money. Loretta is literally not seen as a person, just like Disney treats its teen stars. They "make" them and in the process, the dynamic becomes toxic and breaks the kids as often as not.
I like how at the end the movie just acts like everything is back to normal. Like there wasn’t just a realization that we can create AI as intelligent as humans that potentially deserve rights, and also have the ability to possess people and take over their bodies. That definitely won’t be abused by anyone or any governments

Danny's skit at 16:21 was his best one by far. This man took a shit ton of time to make this 2 minute long masterpiece, hilarious as hell. It was actually insane how well done it was though on a serious note, with the interwoven storyline of the cable from earlier and his dad being a hologram and turning into a plane. Plus the cat at the end, insane storyline just as good as how Seinfeld would have interwoven storylines in some episodes. Theatrical masterpiece.

The writers of this movie had such a missed opportunity for Loretta realizing she was mean or something and going into the rain to slowly disappear, then turn into a plane
I do agree with this. Loretta sacrificing herself to save Sam was a great redemption arc. It would have helped in the development of all three leads. It allows Sam to start to appreciate Loretta more, Roscoe to understand that he should love a real girl and not a hologram he created, and Loretta to prove she had a real purpose in her short life.
Dannys' failure to mention one of the cornerstones of this movie, the rival band "The Moist Towelette's", is heartbreaking.

Fun fact about speaking vs singing: Those actions are shown to involve different parts of the brain, so there have been real cases of people who are aphasiac or lost their speech due to brain trauma who are still able to sing, and in some cases, re-learn how to speak using their singing voice. No clue why a hologram would be unable to emote when speaking though. Guess the guy didn't bother worrying about her genuine emotions, just how well she can do backflips and photo shoots. I'm sure there's no underlying bias there.
