Another fabulous episode! It's interesting how these dilemmas often involve couples. I appreciated how Lucy took care in letting Shelby answer what she was comfortable with.

FYI in the USA it’s harder to get on disability if you have anything other than blindness or being extremely hard of hearing/deafness so I know it’s hard and the benefits we get hardly pays for anything. Love this episode always look forward for another makes my day

This was amazing but subtitles would be helpful as I struggled to hear the full conversation

I wouldn't stay with 'Sarah' and wouldn't blame him if he didn't. She has told him she has no desire for a romantic and sexual relationship, yet is content for him to care for her and run the house they live in. I guess he loves her and that's why he stays, but he isn't getting anything out of it. It's not like being blind; that's a fairly simple impairment compared to a chronic illness that leaves you housebound or unable to work or study.

Hey Guys I'm hard of hearing and the automatic subtitles didn't catch a lot of the conversation. Is it possible to add your own subtitles thanks so much.

Yeah, I can see how the sound from Shelby's ventilator makes automatic transcriptions or subtitles difficult.
Better mic-ing might be an approach, like an appropriately placed lavalier mic or headset (mics in them tend to be more directional). Medium to higher end that are low noise and high sensitivity.
Not only for Shelby but also for the channel owners if the want to make a podcast episode on the go.

Is there a chance of subtitles or a transcript being added? I really struggled to process and understand the audio for the guest. It was causing sensory struggles for me and I'd really like to know what was being said. : (
