    90% of those overweight stem from some sort of trauma in their lives. Everyone's trauma is different, but if you can't fix the problems in your head that lead to what's driving these bad habits first, then you will continue to fall everytime. Speaking from my own experience. Wonderful video ❤

    I do not feel worthy of a healthy life. That’s the truth. Anytime I start, I self-sabotage. Past traumas have me hooked. .

    • @BrixFitness
      @BrixFitness  Před 5 měsíci +4

      I can understand that, and I want to share my own story about how my past traumas and need for healing got in the way of taking care of myself. I reached a point where I decided to make a change, even though I knew it wouldn't be easy. Prioritizing my mental and physical health through exercise and healthy eating slowly started to make me feel better emotionally. It was like showing love to myself, which is really healing. So, don't feel guilty about focusing on yourself in this way. Taking care of your body can improve your mind, which can lead to emotional healing. That's how it worked for me, at least. Best wishes on your journey. Let me know if you need any support.

    Not having enough well power, constantly self jeopardizing, no discipline and patience and comparison is stopping me from getting to my desired weight and waiting on God to get to a successful point in my business. I’m working on putting systems in place and putting in the work and discipline no matter how small will eventually add up. I just have to keep showing up for myself and stop putting time stamps and comparing my journey to someone else’s year 3 or year 6. We are all in different seasons and have different resources and circumstances.

    I feel your passion and I get it. I was heavy and in 2019 I got serious about my weight and I lost 50 lbs and maintained it. My entire mindset has shifted and I have life long habits now and I know I will never regain that weight. I feel really good and I try to reach everyone around me because I want them to feel how I feel but it's so hard to get most people to listen and do the work and get them to understand it is the BEST gift you can give yourself. I always say "if I could sell how I feel, I would be rich and I want this for everyone I know." But THEY have to want it and until they do there is really not much we can do except keep trying to reach them and leading by example. My heart breaks for them because I see and understand their suffering and I feel powerless sometimes. The biggest mindset shift I made was learning to do the things NO MATTER HOW I FEEL. NEVER wait til you feel like it because you will almost always never feel like it. Just do it anyhow and you will never regret it. That's how you gain momentum and the other biggest lesson I learned was "stop stopping!" It's too hard to get started again so now I will never stop.

    I lost 40kg last year. Was in a good mindset, everything was going so well. As soon as I changed careers, my journey went downhill. My problem is a financial problem. Now that I’m on apprentice wage Mon-Fri , working night shifts Fri and Sat (to make up loss) I got 3 beautiful kids, I’m always stressing about money therefore my health is out the window just trying to provide for my family week in and week out. Motivation is a feeling. Discipline and consistency is what I need. What do I do? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

      Thanks for sharing, and I get that this might seem like a big hurdle. But know that when you put your health first, you'll be a better dad and do better at work, which can help you earn more money. Instead of trying to do a lot at once, focus on one small step to improve your health. Maybe start with a 15-minute walk each day-it's good for your body and mind. Don't stress about doing too much. Just take it easy, one thing at a time. Small steps will add up over time.

    I think the reason videos like this MIGHT not get as many views is because people are tired emotionally and mentally…
    I think that people neglect their mental health during weight loss or think that there mental health decline is because of excess weight which is in part true but the factors that led them to be in that situation is really what also needs to be focused on.
    So I’m saying I think people just want the results thinking that will solve the issue. But videos talking about the process emotionally or mentally is draining. I don’t feel this way which is why I clicked the video but at one point I was heavier and I was just ready to start the process and heal.
    Maybe make two channels? One for the weight loss journey and one for after the journey because both are needed. :)
    Great video though!

    Prioritizing work and then being too tired and stressed out to do things for me. Another is a tight shoulder issue (arthritis) that makes it hard for me to do a lot of lifts. Recurring SIBO that is very difficult to find normal doctors who can address them and accept insurance. Fitness classes that are geared towards women with the weights they use, and where the instructors don’t focus on correct form.

    I lost 100 pounds in 2019-2020 and have kept it off I have great appreciation for my body’s ability to move I love how functional I now am because of physical journey of losing weight But it didn’t fix my mental illness struggles
    I have been in and out of therapy and on and off of medication since I was a child Finally I have found a great therapist and the right medication I battle with major depression, generalized anxiety, PTSD, borderline personality disorder
    I used to deal with extreme exhaustion I didn’t understand why especially since I had lost 100 pounds, slept 8 hours a night, ate healthy, drank water, worked out I couldn’t figure out how to fix the problem until I found the right antidepressant
    I still have battles and struggles but I have a purpose And that is what changed everything once the dark clouds were lifted

I want to lose 70 lbs . I wish there was some help out there for busy people .

    • @BrixFitness
      @BrixFitness  Před 5 měsíci

      I've coached many busy people, and the trick is always to find ways to be active without needing extra time. For example, you can take 5 to 10 minutes to move around every 2 to 3 hours during your day, like walking around your office. Starting with every two hours is a good way to slowly add activity. Short workouts of 10 or 15 minutes can be effective. You can wake up 30 minutes earlier to fit in a 15-minute workout-it's possible if you make it a priority. Once you realize how much better your life can be when you prioritize your health, you'll find a way to do it. There are lots of strategies online to help you fit movement and healthy eating into your day without needing extra time. Just do some research and focus on understanding how important it is for you to be as healthy as possible.

      Mark, thank you so much for your transparency in your comment. I can relate to much of what you said. There are moments when it feels dark, moments of hopelessness. I know it's one of the most challenging things, but at some point, you have to make a decision. Let's not underestimate the power of a choice in a moment. You're going to have to decide to do the work, to seek support, to rip off the Band-Aid, and to expect it to be scary. Expect anxiety, expect fear. Change is hard; it's natural until you feel enough pain that makes the discomfort of change the more comfortable option. You're probably going to stay stuck unless you make a radical decision to change your environment, to plug yourself into a community of people who can support you through this tough, challenging, uncertain phase. That was the vision I had when I created my program. Whenever you feel ready to at least have the conversation, just shoot me a message on Instagram (@Brixgoesin), and we can figure out if it's your time. Until then, I'm sending you love, blessings, and prayers, brother.

    You’d be lying to yourself to say you still don’t feel a little insecure with your loose skin/stretch marks/ saggy loose not firm chest. I respect what you did but don’t say you’re 100% confident in yourself now because we know you still have insecurities

      You can be confident and insecure. Your comment was unnecessary. We all have flaws. Or little things we don’t like about our lives. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have peace of mind and optimal wellbeing. Which is what he has.
