The Purology Hydrate line (the light purple bottles) is the BEST shampoo/conditioner combo I have ever used and I have 2C-3B hair!! They smell amazing (like lavender and mint), the shampoo lathers so well and the condioner leaves your scalp feeling cool and tingly which is surprisingly really nice. They are very expensive (about $30 each for 9 oz) but worth every penny to me. My hair looks perfect 99.9% of the time when I use that stuff

I have 3a/3b hair and this video saved me (and my hair) I'm a man, and 3 years ago I decided to grow my hair out, and for the past year I've been trying all different kinds of things, but this video really helped me get the right products and made my life 100x easier, wish I found it a year ago. The amount of hair I've yanked out (accidentally ofc) is embarrassing 🤦♂️😅.

Just discovered you and wondering about your hair - I am the same 2c-3a wave/curl - but it would be helpful to know the thickness / porosity of your hair as mine is baby fine, lots of it -and medium porosity. Great detailed video :)
I use a small amount of the Maui moisturize hibiscus conditioner as leave in! 🤭 🙈lol also as soon as I get any bottle of their product I immediately turn it upside down. I agree with you their packaging is ridiculous. But starting upside down and leaving them that way does help
I store my maui moisture light hydration conditioner upside down just be care when you open it.

Love the Aveda Be Curly line! I tried the Shea Moisture coconut hibiscus products a few months ago, and I guess my hair didn't like the protein. Not really sure. I love the scent though!

hows the brand for your hair?
@@minisims6609 It worked really well, but my hair eventually stopped responding to it. So I switched to a brand called LUS and it's been my go-to for the past year.

Have you tried the Maui Moisture Coconut milk shampoo? Is it good for 2B wavy hair with slightly dry ends?
I've seen the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus line recommended a lot but I didn't have a lot of luck with their Raw Shea Butter line, the shampoo didn't clean my scalp good enough and the conditioner didn't have enough slip to detangle, and now I'm reluctant to try them...Any thoughts?

For some reason, the pink Maui Moisture stripped my hair way more than a sulfate shampoo :( I had straightened my hair a few days before I washed with that shampoo and brushed it every day....even with hair coming out over those days, I lost more hair when I washed with this shampoo than any other time, like half a handful :( I didn't have a problem with the orange-ish colored one for curly hair, though. My hair is a looser pattern than yours.
Very true do not use the pink Maui moisture made my hair fall out. I literally don't know what else to use. I've been using applecider vinegar and aloe vera as shampoo and my hair smells like sweaty feet😢😭
@@an4082 if you are okay with sulfates, I use the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo once a month.

Get a decent shower cap, also make your own, if you have more (longer) hair.
Slather Hellmann's Olive Oil mayonnaise from root to tip. Comb through.
Cover overnight. Wash as usual, no need for extra conditioners, softness
lasts for days, 3-4 washings remove it.
Have you tried the Zotos All About Curls line? Their deep conditioner, the Zotos Divine Treatment, is SO good

Would you say that the Shea Moisture products are more for textured hair? I have very similar hair to yours.
Thank you! I would say they can be on the heavier side so some lines are made for more corse hair and can weigh our hair down. They have a chart on their website I believe that shows the best line for you hair type that’s super helpful!

try the app “think dirty” to check the ingredients of your products, i recently switched to the Native Cucumber and Mint conditioner and i love it!
All of them has glycerin. My hair is similar to yours and my hair hates glycerin, it dries my hair.

I can't speak for her but I have multiple different things around at all times and choose what I use by assessing how my hair has been. I have 3a-3c, medium porosity, coarse hair and it loves to bounce between demanding moisture and demanding protein so having options is a big deal for me to always feel prepared to help it out.

I just want to tell you they have a lawsuit against them and they have ingredients in most of their products that cause hair fallout

I changed shampoo and conditioner and my curls have fallen 😭. Why. I am not changing shampoo so quick.
Sometimes the ingredients can be too heavy for your hair or it just takes a little while for your hair to get used to the new shampoo :/
@@marissa_lanae I have bought new curly hair special shampoo. Tresemme pre Pro curl Definition shampoo.
I actually wouldn’t suggest using Tresemme. The ingredients arent great for your hair and can dry it out over time☹️

I don't recommend using protein hair products all the time because it can have protein overload and ruin your hair.

I must be the only person on the planet that hates the smell of the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine! Bleh!!! I'm also not a fan of the smell or performance of Aveda products. I do, however, love Ouia Moisture Products!
