Jenny is a riot! You guys both crack me up! AMAZING view there!! Sad to hear of all the "access denied" land being bought up out that way. About how it went here in MA in the late 80's through the 90's. The tent I have is WAY too big for this kind of travel. I used to strap it to the back of my '94 CBR600F2 out in AZ back in the day - it would stick out a foot wide off each side of the passenger seat. Took up A LOT of real estate. Wouldn't work too good off the highway - would catch things and cause me to crash, no doubt! I need to upgrade some stuff if I want to attempt this kind of ride, no doubt about it! Thanks for sharing as always!

Thankyou for the look and description of the "latest compact light camping equipment" very impressive the bellow bag pump for the airbed.
Controversial issues there, is public lands (Crown land) excluded from public "Queens people" via leasehold, licence or some local by-law.

My 80 year old father recently visited us here in North Idaho. On his drive from MN he tried to find a room in or near Bozeman. He ended up with a $225 room, even with a senior veteran discount. His room in White Sulfur Springs last night was just over a hundred bucks. And he got to soak his bad knee in the springs.
He and my late mother spent many miles and smiles touring the country on a few different Honda Gold Wings. So many nights spent sleeping on the ground, but so many great experiences, too. I will share this video with him, when he gets home from this road trip. (He is in a Subaru this time, his Suzuki Burgman is awaiting the healing of two failed knee replacements).

Very good camp tour. Room with a view. You're far better off out there than a Motel Sick - I mean Six anyway... The last Motel 6 I stayed at came alive at night after I turned out the lights and all these weird bugs appeared seemingly out of the woodwork and were crawling all over the walls. Even my cats were a bit shaken - yeeesh!
You got me going. Road story - -
So I was hitchhiking in the middle of nowhere in Utah headed west back to SJ. There was this massive (no joke!) storm blowing across the desert headed right for me. An ominously black wall of clouds filled the sky. I was doomed. Right before the storm hit, this fellow passed me on a Yamaha 650. He had a huge duffle bag strapped to a sissy bar on the bike and California plates. I had a full pack and a guitar. He stopped about 1/2 mile down the highway. The storm was blowing in. I held my breath! He turned around and came back and stopped. He had a bunch of bungee cords - maybe we could figure something out. Somehow he finagled my full pack, guitar and his duffle bag and we just barely outran that storm clear across the desert by the skin of our teeth! He was a perfect gentleman, no worries. He brought me all the way home to SJ.
I hadn't been home in several months - will never forget how beautiful the Bay Bridge looked at 1 AM riding in to San Francisco, all the lights ~
Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. Smooth sailing to you.

    Hi Juan,
I have enjoyed your trip, and maybe covid has made the prices of lodging higher, but Montana has never has any reasonably priced rooms that I could find!
In 2001 on a vehicle rescue mission to Great Falls, we stopped at numerous motels in Spokane all the way to Missoula and the least expensive room was $135. We slept in the cab of the truck! The prices in Great Falls were much less, and probably because it is not on I-90.
That is not the only time we have had that experience in Montana. On another trip, we stopped in Missoula and Hamilton and eventually went on to Salmon Idaho to a nice place that was $55 per night and allowed pets. Since then I plan to sleep in the back of my truck. I can't allow myself to be extorted by chain motels just because they have a monopoly on the trade.

Jenny says get off the internet and get out here 😂 Best advice I've heard in a long time to be honest.

Love, love, love this content! Idaho native here. I was going to ask about a small solar panel to charge electronics, but if you are riding all day it wouldn't be necessary. Ride safe back to Boise!

Yes, one of the best things you can fit is a USB socket on your bike, since these days pretty much all tech can charge on a 5v/2amp USB from the 12v on your bike.
If you do carry a lot of electronic devices with you, then it can be a good idea to take one of those Li-ion battery jump-start packs with you too (Antigravity Batteries make a number of compact ones), which hold plenty of juice for recharging phones and cameras, and even starting a dead bike/car/truck if required.

I would be entertained by Jenny's accent for 2 weeks alone! LOL I would have to have my 3 string guitar, folds up super small! And you mentioned "grizz" (shudder), that means my 1911 .45 to sleep on my belly!!! LOL At 70, and not much hard work, I'd need 6 months in the gym to prep!! 8) I'm also not 100% sure about the 300 Honda, A friend has a Suzuki DR-Z400s that is comfy and pulls out tree stumps. Don't think it does 80 mpg though. Now look what you've done, I'm talking about it! Thanks Juan!! LOLOL 8) Be safe out there!! --gary
