I've been looking for this for YEARS!!! Never thought of looking on CZcams 🙄. I was obsessed with this in the mid-80s - I recorded it from TV and watched it so many times ♥️A real walk down Memory Lane. Pure joy 😁😁
OMG I was a Guerilla in this film I thought they wanted to be a Gorilla of the furry kind at first !!!! Kid Creole was so kind and I think I’m only in it for about 3mins but at least I’m there, can’t believe it’s 39yr ago, but thank you so much for the treasured memories, can’t wait to show my grandchildren and for the signed autograph xxx Life is just a bucketful of memories. I first saw this back in the 80's on WNYC and was hooked. Every once in while, something triggers the memory and I go looking for it. To my amazement it's here. Thirty years later and still fresh as ever. Thanks so much for unearthing this hidden treasure.

i remember this airing on WNYC TV31 in January of 1988 Monday at 930pm.. the station is gone but the memories remain.

Thank you for posting this! I worked on this production (and the other GTV special). Brings back great memories. I looked after August for his sound needs (radio mics etc..), we became good friends, he signed all my albums. We had some adventures recording this eh?
Bongo Eddie Falk and I stayed in touch until the day he became ill and sadly passed. Can I say rest in peace to an old pal.

I loved this movie, and KC&TC when I was 11, watched this on VHS loads of times.

I saw this as a kid in 87 or 89 at some point on PBS... And this has stuck with me all of these years KC & the CC's are still one of my favorite bands ever, thanks Baba Coati Mundi for posting. You have changed the lives of so many people and musicians Big up!!! Pa'lante Boricua!!!

Been looking for this for years as I remember it from it's one and only showing on UK TV. I thought it was a Mandela Effect and had never existed 😜. Gave up looking last year, and now this appears on my recommended list. Brilliant!! Thanks for this great musical.

This movie was excellent. Thank you. I am a young fan of the kid and I loved this movie. The songs were awesome and the acting is better then anything on tv right now amazingly. It has an important message that unfortunately today’s society is not ready to see.

I had no idea that Karen Black had passed, she was great in this musical, RIP. I met the other Black (Pauline - who sang the 'you remind me' line) at one one her gigs quite recently. Her band, The Selecter, are constantly on tour in the UK especially. Hope all is well with you Mundi, love from London
Yeah sad ...I got to hang with her and daughter a little bit shortly before she died ...very sweet soul.
