  • This is my one hundred and sixty fourth video on my work with OO gauge. See part 1 of this series for my reasons for getting into OO gauge, when I already had a lot invested in working in N gauge, and I didn't really have space available for a large, fully operational OO gauge layout. Also see my series on my N Gauge railway modelling for smaller and more complex scenery, and smaller scale trains running.
This part will continue my progress with my Hornby Dublo 3-rail table-top railway, still in its early stages. This time I'll be going forward a bit with my 3-rail track-work, moving on from the simple oval that came with the Duchess of Atholl train set towards something a bit more ambitious in the way of a track plan, albeit still within the limits of the little table-top that I have set up for my Dublo railway.
As always, if you have any questions about anything that I say or show in this video, or you would like more information about anything, please post in the comments below, and I will try to respond.

Duchess of Atholl takes me back to 11 years old in 1957! The crazy stuff I remember was the turntable and the GPO mail carriage with delivery and pick up!

What is the width of a standard radius 15 inch curve in a full circle?

Well, it would be 30" plus the width of the track (since the 15" radius is to the centre of the track); so about 31".
