  • Welcome to my two hundred and eighty third video on my work with OO gauge.
This past Saturday, April 27th 2024, I went over to the Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada to attend the 2024 Great British Train Show; and in this video I'll be talking a bit about my visit to the show, showing some pictures of the layouts and models on exhibit, and reviewing the haul that I brought back from the show.
As always, if you have any questions about anything that I say or show in this video, or you would like more information about anything, please post in the comments below, and I will try to respond.

Hi had good evening. after watching your video, how to convert mainline Jubilee to three rail this was a great help to me, but what I did purchased, some spare plungers and converted the mainline tender drilling holes in the tender chassis put to small spaces in them put the plungers in just doing the wiring which was simple,
because of the weight on your video, using the hornby. Dublo 8 f tender I thought this was the right approach and also the body on the tender top the colours remain the same I hope this help many thanks Colin.

What appears to be exhibitor 7 ‘Leadenham’ is actually the new modular exhibition layout from The BUFFERS Model Railway & Transport Group 🇬🇧 🚂 ⛴️ 🚌 🚗 🚁 out of London, ON.
Yes, the helipad, harbour lighthouse & airport tarmac area which my pal & I are building is still a work in progress, as is the turntable area, as there is a substantial bit of 3-d printing required to complete the project.
As we retired the old ‘Ardleigh Bitton’ one & sold it to some chaos down Hamilton way. It’s rising from the ashes, and was t’riffic to see it there at the opposite end of the ice pad. 😉👍

An American outline locomotive of freelance design, German and it likely would’ve had red frames & wheels, not to mention the lack of a cowcatcher, I’ve been meaning to get one of those TTR 0-4-0s for a good while for converting to 2 rail DC with a heavily modified Triang 0-4-0 chassis…

I've been feeling a bit discouraged lately, what with my complete failure with the new Hornby Black Five, and some historical things I was pursuing not working out too well, and increasing difficulties using eBay. And real-life problems keeping coming one on top of another. So I've pretty much put my model railway stuff aside for a bit.

@@kleedhamhobby Ahh sorry to hear that - yes the Black 5 issue was particularly frustrating. All the best to you, hopefully things will look better soon - I for one always enjoy your detailed commentary!
      Cheers,
      Sam :)
