I got mine today. Lol I'm 34, I grew up on GB, and I swear I almost cried taking it out of the box. I really felt like a kid at Christmas again. This is hands down the single greatest thing I have ever owned in my life. I can't get over the detail, it's got a decent weight to it too, it's a little heavier than I thought it would be. The effects are insane, I'm still discovering new things on it. But yeah this Wand is amazing, it's an absolute must buy for all GB fans, I can't put mine down :)
I’d seriously lose it if Hasbro Pulse follows up with the pack as well!

@@AlphaTrion92 I think HasLab’s Kickstarter format makes super-niche/high end collectibles possible (ie Sentinel and Unicron) while maintaining Hasbro’s signature quality/accessibility - and would be a perfect medium to make a full-scale proton pack possible.
All that’s really needed from a tooling perspective would be the shell (which is the hard part of a custom build) - which would be peanuts as it would be a couple of simple open-shut tools - the rest is off-the shelf parts and some simple PCB’s. Heck, I’d love a Hasbro kit if it just required same level of assembly as an action figure playset as it’d make the pack more affordable.
Just curious though - what has Hasbro disappointed you with?
@@AlphaTrion92 I can see your point at least for Transformers (not too intimately familiar with recent Star Wars toys), but I’d say Hasbro as a whole, it’s much better now.
As far as distribution - I think it’s the scalping that has gone rampant this year - especially G.I. Joe - but product availability has been pretty painful for all collectors toys - NECA TMNT especially.
Me too I’m going to try to mod this into my spirit pack, but a plug and play 80% pack I’d pay up to $300 for.
Why couldn't we have such great Ghostbusters toys when I was a kid, this is a dream come true!

I think Hasbro is amazing for making this thing so accurate down to even the box looking like the movie box. It not only shows great respect to the IP and the fans, but also to the prop makers who worked hard to make these things for the film!

IT comes with an adapter to connect it to the wire loom, but wiring is a different story
Holy shit! Saw this a while ago.. but was skeptical. Watching this.. omfg.. incredible. At this price? There are professionals that handbuild 100% movie accurate wands and packs. Fully functional with all sound effects included.. just the wand $4100. Wow. 11000 for pack and wand.. to put it in perspective.

Just my opinion. The addition of the extra wire gives it added character definitely something I think Spengler would do. It looks like the clippard valve on the front can be removed and replaced with a real one. I don't have one yet and I'm already modifying it in my mind.

I never got to own a Matty Wand. With the exception of the RGB line from DST, I dont think Ive ever been more excited for a peice of GB gear than I am for the Hasbro wand. 1:1 with lights and sounds for $100? I cant wait.

I’m curious to see what the community comes up with on how to modify and add this to existing packs. I just got my GBLabs board and light kit in for my Matty wand and pack to control things from my pack so I hope they’re able to do something similar with this!
kurisu7885 already thinking about that myself. I have the actual military tape they use and I’d rather cut off the plastic wrap and add my own.

I'm very happy to see the SFX are so good/ That's VERY IMPORTANT to me. You can be as screen accurate as you want, but wiithout those sounds, it's only half the battle. . . like a walking silent film.

Wow! Impressive! I would get this for sure, but due to the price point, it's sadly not in the budget right now. Once I am able to afford one however, this is a must buy for me!

Give it a couple months for some builders to get theirs and take them apart. Im certain there will be plenty of mods coming, electronic and cosmetic.

So, talking about the switch on sequence… I like how they built that activation pattern into the wand from the movie… BUT.. if you watch the part where Phoebe and podcast are trying the pack out, she starts with the activate switch then moves to the bottom right followed by the top right switch 🤔
I wonder if it'd be possible to mod it to where you can remove the 'Afterlife' shotgun grip and taped grip and replace them with the standard wand grips for a GB1/GB2 look.
The shotgun grip looks to be the same piece as the front tube. I'm sure fellow fans will figure out something!
Ghostbusters News true but I feel like it wouldn’t be too difficult to mould a special grip to go over it. A lick of paint on the edges of the shotgun grip and no one would know what was underneath.

Once these get into the prop building community's hands I expect many cosmetic mods and electronic kits to retrofit these on fan packs and probably the spirit packs as well. I had this pre ordered with BBTS but cancelled it, due to fact that I've already invested in a nice fan build pack. Must say the value is there for this wand, and I may end up picking it up at some point even just for a display piece. If canadian retailers get these on the shelf it's a almost certainly an impulse buy for me lol.

I would add. Hasbro pulse does have a membership fee. About $50. Ive found it worth it with the exclusives and pre orders though.
1 thing that really sticks out is the bargraph, it just seems to be a series of 4 or 5 led's as opposed to being an actual graph, it doesn't really scroll anywhere remotely like what it did in the first 2 movies. Wonder if it's replaceable 🤔
the only thing they missed was the power down noise when you stop firing. otherwise it's awesome. i have it preordered anyway. just gotta wait a sudden extra 16 days

Been is so awesome. Would love to hang out with him one day. Im a big kid at heart too so it would be fun. Love his passion and yes Im having one sent to my local gaming store,Im just waiting for them to call me to tell me its in and Im gonna fly down and pick it up. There's no jack on the exterior of the wand. Have yet to crack one open, so here's open an easy solution will be found within.

I went on both links you provided and they are both sold out until December 2020 and there is a list that you can't even get on the purchase those when they come in because it is bombarded by people who buy them and sell them for much more
