@@optibotimus Honestly, I excited for the Trap and Meter (backed the HasLab) and hopeful for the Goggles. Probably won't pick up the Classic Wand unless we end up getting a Classic Pack.
The fact they added the video game upgrades sold it for me, stuff like that where they go above and beyond the call is just the best

You can just hear Paul nerding out just from his voice, oh sure when the cameras are rolling he's all professional. But you know once the cameras are off he's playing with!🤣

My theory on the videogame is that it will be silently canon. I dont think we'll hear any mention of it or if we do it'll be minimal like one of the Busters saying "Didnt we beat Shandor already????" Or something like an Easter Egg in the background. Maybe a slime tank or the Meson Collider parts sitting on a table. Every threat the GBs dealt with; Egon would modify the pack with temporary modifications. With Shandor all those mods he put on what I call the "Monster Pack" were meant to be reversed. They were meant to be taken off once the threat was dealt with and then return back to a normal GBI and GBII pack. So we'll see!!!!
I was thinking maybe a few minor references that the majority might see as a throwaway line, but will be recognizable for hardcore *_Ghostbusters_* fans.
They said there hasn't been a ghost sighting in 30 years in the trailer. And the game takes place 30 years before the new movie.
I just bought one from game stop on a sell for 80 bucks. Love it. Also looking around online a lot of these are going for 150 bucks now. Great video man.

The game you're talking about came out in 2009. The Matty Collector wand definitely came out later on.
I really hope they make a Proton Pack, and a Ghost Trap. That would look so hecking cool.

Oh wow! Totally fantastic! How cool is this Neutrona Wand?! And we are are just short of a Proton Pack to complete it! I wish I had one of these when I disguised myself into a Ghostbuster on Halloween in high school! But I did make the proton pack, neutrona wand and ghost trap myself out of cardboard, which was pretty cool! Thanks for sharing, Paul!
I hope we'll get new versions of the Ghost Trap, PKE Meter, and Ecto Goggles soon enough.

I'm really glad you did a review of this wand, cause I remember the one you did for the mattel wand and I really want to know your thoughts on the hasbro wand. I know people been buying these at game stop and I really want one. And after hearing this review I want it a lot more.

Mine arrived a few weeks ago and I love the thing. Hasbro did a great job. I missed out on all of the Mattel prop replicas so this is a nice addition to my collection.

Optibotimus we know what rust is ALL the way over here in California too man.... And I talked to my cousin ALL the way down in South Florida and my Sister in New Jersey and yup, guess what? They get rust too! They just wanted you to be made aware of that fact, but still nice video for sure. Great quality.
The extra wire coming from the front grip is usually the wire lead for the tip's orange hat light and a button which hasbro did not include next to it. Kit builds (and probably the original props) tend to run that wire under the front grip and it enteres the gun box there to connect to the electronics board in the wand.
Haslab is the only way they do a pack I'd think.

If you are right handed, your trigger finger is on the right hand, and you hold the end grip with left. Same as guitar, you hold the neck with left, and pick with right.
If you're Jimmy Hendrix you wear a Proton pack upside down.

I just got one of these in anticipation of the pack shipping, and I couldn't agree more on everything you said. Not sure what I'll do with my Matty wand.
I got my hands on one of these in December, but I got a later revision, mine has an orange tip and a screw holding the end cap in place.
I love that they didn't cut corners, like where Mattel molded the trigger box in one blocky piece. On the Hasbro wand, it has the proper separation. Just a really authentic looking replica.
The original wands did have external wires running from the body to the barrel. Another area where Hasbro went the extra mile.
I would not be surprised if someone somehow extracts the sounds and wiring from this for those of us who build our own wands and packs
Easy to do. Remove the bottom plate, remove the battery pack. Drill out the positive negative plate. Mount the batteries and an amp in the proton pack. run the battery and sound wires thru the pack tube, into the back handle to access the circuit board. Done!
I think that we are going to be seeing a great deal of fan service in Afterlife. We already know that the Ecto-1 has the gunner seat, which is likely a nod to the RGB one, and I wouldn't doubt if the different pack modes showed up, either.
that wire on the front grip that isn't on the matty is the wiring from the button and light at the tip that goes under the grip into the body. I own a proton pack I've built and mine has this for that

I just really wish it had a venting sequence so you didn't have to completely restart it.
If you want to make it even more movie accurate. You can do a vent window delete. It's pretty involved but worth it when done. You have the tools!!! You have the talent!!
I just want to say thank you for putting out this video I been looking for a proton gun to replace my spirit halloween one after I saw this video I went to the website and got me one I'm mobbing my pack and this helps a lot so to a ghostbusters fan to another 🍫 "you earned it"
Is there a way to disable the auto-shutdown? Like to keep the lights going while it's holstered?

From what I've heard, Matty was planning on making a Proton pack, but sales of the 2nd wave PKE meter were less than outstanding so, they dropped the idea
Matty had some good stuff but they really dropped the ball especially with the 1/6 ecto 1 which looked like it was gonna be amazing…

I wasn't gonna hit the like button because you don't know what a Clippard valve is used for which provides pressure to force the charged protons from the pack to the Neutrona wand and from the wand out. In real life they are used in hospital medical equipment and the ones on the GB equipment are the ones from the 80s but I'll go ahead and hit that like button cause it was a dope comparison video. Keep it up.
The upgrade that you could not remember is called mason collider
