When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Ghostbusters. My father created me a "proton pack" by getting a hiking backpack, flipped it over to make the round top on the bottom, attached a frisbee to it to represent that round part with the lights and showed a tube of a vacuum cleaner which had a vaccum handle sticked to it and that was it. Had some amazing times with it

If it's anything I learned it's that anyone can be a Ghostbuster. I knew that as a kid with my Egon costume and Kenner gear. I've come to appreciate that more since joining the Windy City Ghostbusters with similar gear to yours. You've got the tools, why not show off the talent? There's got to be a Ghostbusters chapter around you...they're everywhere! It's so fun to participate in events around town. I've marched in parades around Chicago, gone to conventions, parties and more. The kids love us and parents appreciate us. I find it rewarding to share my love of Ghostbusters with new and old fans. You'd be a perfect addition to a chapter.
I missed out on the haslab but grabbed the upgraded spirit pack, and the Spengler wand. I will never give up being a Ghostbusters nothing comes close, wearing the jumpsuit and the proton pack is a honor.
Thanks for sticking up for the Spirit Halloween Model! I used it for a Halloween Costume Contest at work, and won first prize. At the time, I had experience making my own movie accurate version, but I ended up buying that one out of convenience because creating a new one from scratch wasn't a priority at the time. Great video! Very satisfying of a watch.
It gives me such happiness hearing someone else feel exactly the same way about the proton pack I do. As a kid it was something I just instantly wanted, dreamt about. And my love for Ghostbusters never got any less as I grew up.
I didn't get the Haslab pack, but I did just a couple of months ago get the new full size Sprite Halloween pack and it was one of the happiest days of my life. It hangs peobdlt proudly on my wall and every single day I just look at it, and smile. It's joy.
It took me about 25 years to finally have this dream happen, but so worth it.
Sure beats what I did as a kid, putting a vacume cleaner inside a back pack and busting till' I felt good.

That was one of the best Haslab proton pack review videos I've seen, and I've seen a ton! Really fun to watch, many "that's just like me!" moments. Two notes: the Haslab campaign ran in 2021 (10/27-12/12). And regarding the rumble function of the pack...it reacts to the actions of the wand. That's super-dope. The wand not simply turns the pack (and itself) on and off, it even does more...that was my biggest surprise when I got mine. Oh yeah, and the pack includes many easter eggs.
I build one back about 8ish years ago and man do I wish this was around then - would have saved me so much time and $$

100% *THE GRAIL* of toys/movie props. the proton pack was every kid's dream~ the short video at the end was awesome too, all the "Toy" gadgets are so authentic looking! I love how the short felt like an episode of cops, I always Dreamed of a ghostbusters TV show that was filmed *on the go* like a 'ride-along'/COPS style reality tv show. Awesome video!

I have my holy grail: a replica of Luke's original Graflex Flash lightsaber from A NEW HOPE.
I wound up replacing the lights in my Spirit pack with a very basic light kit from GB Fans and replaced the wand with my Spengler wand (it's now on my Haslab pack)

Congrats on getting another grail! So what's left, of things that actually exist? Some little pieces of Centurions weapon packs? I think we're both to the point where we've accumulated MOST of the things we're after, and that’s a nice feeling.

Adam Savage got to have a hand in the accuracy of the pack. John Warden from the HasLab design team (previous head of the Transformers design team) came to his shop to show of the prototype and he pointed out a few things that weren't quite accurate and let them take a few parts from his shop that were used in the original props so they could make some adjustments for the final product. When they produced the wand , there was no plans to make a pack to go with it....

Just watched Adam savages video on set of frozen empire and phoebes malfunctioning pack in the new film is a modified haslab pack.that means the haslab spenglers pack is now 100% screen accurate😃
