- While on the set of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Adam beelined to the props trailer, where his friend and propmaker Ben Eadie showed us some of the hero props he managed and maintained for the production. Adam was able to get a peek inside these props to see how they were built using the latest propmaking techniques while keeping the iconic Ghostbusters aesthetic!

Oh..that's an idea! At the end saying "Fantasy Camp" made me think that every October there should be a Ghostbusters Fantasy Camp for the classic Ghostbusters stuff and Afterlife.
I Love watching Adam geek out over Ghostbusters. Like me you can tell he is truly a REAL fan! Adam, was your pack build inspired by them or visa versa cause both of you have packs where the cyclotron opens.

Studios, take note. Partnering with people to make content like this tells a story about the film you've made. Much better than any highly produced featurettes or behind-the-scenes content you tack on as an afterthought. We want to see genuine interactions like this.

BTW, fantastic work by you and your team! As a fan who's been obsessing over these props for 30 years, it's a delight to see them recreated with such care and I love the surprises added, like the Taser and ghost camera. Very much looking forward to seeing the film!

I have desperately been avoiding everything I can about this movie until I get to see it but I just couldn't stop watching how happy this made Adam. His pure unbridled joy is infectious.
Absolutely the same here. Big fan of the franchise but I can't stop myself from watching the sincere joy of Adam discuss about these.

Goggles .. my mouth was open the entire time :) ... leaving Adam alone in the hero prop trailer .. priceless
hahaha I was half expecting them to end with "....so they've left me alone in the prop trailer"!
And dangerous! After seeing Adam barely restrain himself from playing with everything in the farmhouse set under supervision, I can only imagine the kinds of trouble he'd get into in the prop trailer!
Seeing these two massively geek out over this stuff is an absolute joy!

TBH I'd geek out to if I got to see them like this and had half the knowledge of prop making he does.
Adam Savage is the perfect person to allow set access to: he not only appreciates the craftsmanship that goes into prop-making, but he truly understands how special these things are. He likens the hero wand as a piece of jewelry. I am so excited about this movie.
I worked in theatre 20 years. It's lovely to see see the interactions between director and prop maker is similarly friendly and enthusiastic in Hollywood. Loved when he walked away without saying goodbye when he got the call. Reminded me of my theatre days. Lovely vid. Made me smile...
I know you're talking _actual_ theatre (and _man_ that sounds cool as hell) but I was the head of crew and lighting in my high school's theatre program and it was always so much fun making the props for the productions. I can only imagine how fun it is at a professional capacity.
I would love to see Dan Aykroyd's reaction to these props as he would be able to explain the real and theoretical use and functionality of each and every one!! 🤠👍
Seeing Adam geek out is awesome, but to be expected. Seeing Ben,the prop master JUST as excited was just a thrill for me.

It was a delight to hear your excitement for the props. I had the honor of developing those for this movie. Namely the PKE meter, Ecto Goggles, Traps. I tried to capture as much original detail as possible. especially on the goggles, I leaned towards GB1 vs GB2. On the PKE meter we actually did one where the arms moved the full range from closed to taser. but the transition to taser mode was too slow. The challenge was getting the pivot points to move outside the body smoothly. Been loving all your GB content.
the last shot there i was waiting for Adam to say "quick, grab the car!!"
Honor among prop masters/makers. Adam will just incorporate the updates into his own builds.

I appreciate how careful they're being to not spoil too much about the movie while they're doing it. So far everything they've featured on Tested is either parallel to the story or things we could see in the trailers.

I have been building proton packs since the age of 13... (radioshack-homedepo throw togethers) and am now age 31 (using my Mechanical Engineering degree to make highly detailed movie quality fully functional Packs) To see Egon's Upgraded Proton Pack is something i've only DREAMED OF and I cannot thank Adam and tested enough for all the Extreme detail respect and care they give to these props~!!! I love every second of these Ghostbuster Behind the scenes prop deep-dives!!!! Please keep them coming!!! maybe we can get you into some Marvel and DC Prop Rooms in the future too!!
This shows you Adam was up there with the best in the industry his knowledge of all the parts that make up the prop and all the parts used to make them work plus how enthusiastic he still is over this stuff he's like a kid in a candy store.

this movie bring joy to my parent who still remember this characters. the fact that they enjoy it show how true and up to expectation the film is, despite the lack of original cast for most of the film. wish star wars had gotten this much love.

Adam savage needs to be incorporated in the next film as a Q type figure in James Bond movies , of which he builds the equipment for the next Ghost Busters team and he happens to be a fan who grew up watching the news stories of the original team.

My toy P.K.E. meter was taken away from me over 30 years ago when I smuggled it to preschool. In kindergarten I was a Ghostbuster for Halloween. I had the whole kit. I love this stuff.

I remember when I was a kid watching Saturday morning TV and Neil Buchanan (of Art Attack fame) got to hold a proton pack and interview Dan Ackroyd for GBII. How I felt then is how I felt now watching this. So much excitement and joy. I am, of course, jealous of what Adam has got to do, but I feel like he is one of us and love to see him geek out.
