HBX really is just a good brand. I know they are cheap, but I view them as good quality RC cars. Go beat up on an E-revo 16 scale and see how long it holds up compared to and HBX or a hyper go or something of that sort. You'd be unpleasantly surprised lol.
Other than the rear wing I have been really happy with the durability! I know you know what is tough and what is not as you put your cars through the ringer on your channel!!!😆
Hbx makes great RC’s. We run our 390 brushed hbx903 on 3s all the time and it takes tge abuse and keeps on keeping on
I am worried mine may not like a 5900kv motor (the gearbox) but we are going to find out! : )

@@BriansRCStuff smaller ones for like the hbx and Rlaarlo 1/14 buggies. The ones that I have now are starting to die, or are too big for those applications.. probably 850-1100 mah size

mine cuts out on 3s lipo. You accelerate hard and it blocks so violently that almost backflips. Oddly, my brushed version accepts 3s lol
Mine never did this on the stock tires but when i put bigger tires on it, it did what you described! It was bad!!! I had to ease into it to avoid it.
I just upgraded it to a 60a ESC and a 2845 5900 kv and it rips! 52 mph on the stock tires.
