  • I bought my childhood bike! I had a bike just like this one when I was 11-13 years old. It was one of my favorite bikes! Unfortunately, the bike doesn't start and who knows what other problems I'll unearth when I dig into this one! Will my quest to relive a piece of my childhood turn into a mechanical nightmare and money pit?

Yeah, they are often beat to crap. I'll be restoring this one in some upcoming videos. There's no money in restoring it, but it will be a fun project and it's meaningful to me so I'm doing it.

Hot foot moto makes reproduction reed block manifolds for it. My friend had an 87 had a gas on it. The clutch parts are the same as the kx60. Plates basket etc. Btw it's a 84 the 85 had silver frame color.

Thanks for watching! According to the 1985 Kawasaki Brochure and the vin#, it's an 1985.

I did and it's in the video at the 46 minute mark. Normally it's one of the first things I would do, but all those other things needed to be fixed before trying to start the bike anyways.
