Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. Hey Prestige, the idea that Vanguard sold well is nonsensical and most likely not true. It’s horseshit.
At the time it was known that it sold like 40% of the copies that BOCW sold (in the UK at least) - so a significant fall.
30 million is how many MW 2019 sold. Except ppl were actually excited with that game’s launch and had interest in it. Vanguard received poor publicity and reception even before it was out & the popularity of the game was low during the life cycle. Afterwards it wasn’t really talked about much.
Treyarch and Sledgehammer had to deal with some unfair conditions lately

Vangaurd was so weird, the setting was like some monstrosity of an alternate reality. It didnt even feel like a WW2 setting. Apart from Vangaurd though, I am typically a Sledgehammer fan.
it felt like a LARPing session where not everyone was commited to the LARP, so they just started making up stuff on the spot lol

Slow movement is fine but we need fast gun handling and dead silence and it can work kinda like classic CoD
Infinity Ward is just going to slap another Spec Ops that was made in like 10 minutes and call it content.
iw did take the ip in a fresh direction that i enjoyed with mw19, sure there was missteps but it wasnt sustainable to keep it all the same as it had been since cod 4. with that being said its like they took out everything good about mw19 and replaced it with slow as shit camper friendly content and as per usual with iw they refuse to take feedback. after mw2 its hard to be hopefull because its like they never learn what about their games work and what doesnt.

I play vanguard from time to time and am always surprised how active it is for the amount of hate it gets. I’ll get on during working hours and still have no trouble finding a lobby.
The multiplayer is not terrible. The problem with it for me was it just got boring very fast like WWII. The zombies was garbage though…
Vanguard was one of my favorite CODs ever released. From the fast paced gameplay to the smaller maps it was very fun. I may have not loved the WW2 setting but overall it was a great game. If you could have changed the map dressing from the 40's to the 00's time wise then I'm sure it would have been well regarded overall.
I thought from a gameplay perspective, vanguard was extremely underrated.

I think what is more likely is that the campaign gameplay reveal will happen at the Xbox Showcase. as such, we may see the normal reveal trailer in like May and such.
Modern Warfare III is my favorite Warzone era multiplayer. I would love for SHGames to make a new AW boots on the ground game with the beautiful art style and weapons.
SHG didn’t even make a change with the MCW 6.8 Full-Auto Conversion Kit to re-add the 30 Round Magazine Attachment. I’ve been asking them for a while and all we have is a ACR-like SCAR Stock. Can someone please spread the word to them😢🤦♂️

As long as Gulf War's MP is as good as MWIII's MP (movement, gunplay, map design, slightly better weapon balance preferably) and Gulf War's Campaign & Zombies is as good as Cold War, then we're in for a very good year for sure. This is the first time in maybe over 10 years, where i'm not super hyped for the next COD, because i'm still enjoying this one. I really hope this content flow from Sledgehammer can persist, not for the rest of the year, but until Gulf War is revealed. That would be good enough for me. MWIII MP wise, is probably the best COD since Bo2, I just wish the game had good spawns, better weapon balancing (not their fault they have like 120+ weapons though) and no SBMM bs, but we all know that's not going away anytime soon...
I just hope gulf war is similar to Cold War style of cod Arcady and fast pace loved it and will bring me back to buy cod again

I’m not much of a fan of these newer cods gave them a shot but never liked them as much as Cold War

Honestly, I think Vanguard was a victim of circumstance. It was a yet another WWII shooter that followed Cold War, which had a far more interesting setting and it was evident by season three the devs wanted to make something far more futuristic. The campaign was okay, but nothing really special. It really just felt like an intro to the rest of the game rather than an actual story. MP was nice, but not that great compared to Cold War. Zombies was trash. They should've just let Sledgehammer make AW2. Vanguard was something different than Modern Warfare and Black Ops, but it failed to make a name for itself.
Maybe someday we can get AW2

I actually like vanguard the core gameplay is very enjoyable imo the problem was content updates for multiplayer and zombies we got absolutely fucked that year in That regard it was actually embarrassing

Seems a lot of people single out Vanguard for its WW2 setting. Why the hate? We’re not awash with WW2 games. Personally I was down for it - pulpy multi-national squad on a mission theme. Just a shame they lost confidence in it and started releasing futuristic stuff.

Vanguard wasn’t perfect. But it caught a lot of unwarranted venom.
I miss the 20v20 huge map fights, and I would really like to see the return of the Patrol game mode.

Vanguard did amazing for the casual player and the old cod players. It just didn't do well with the content creators and the streamers. I loved Vanguard and it had so much more content compared to mw19 and Cold War.

Treyarch is the only studio that actually gives me hope for call of duty, all of the black ops games have been solid so i have hope for gulf war.

I played more Vanguard than Cold War and CW just doesn't hit me like Vanguard does. Don't get me wrong I think Vanguard is still my least favorite WWII game. (WWII, WaW, Vanguard). Sledge has taken over Infinity Ward as my favorite CoD developers. I hope their next project will be amazing!

Most definitely going to skip out on treyarchs future games moving on. Been playing since 2003 when cod came out, treyarchs last best game was WaW. The bo series never got my attention, games were always buggy, laggy, and for me personally, not enjoyable. WaW was the last treyarch game I enjoyed.

Vanguard was amazing! So much content, amazing servers, never any packet burst or delay getting into lobbies. I've had the most fun playing Vanguard than I've had in COD since BOIII. My clan was ranked in the top 25. You could literally grind everything in that game too. Everything had a level to it with free rewards.

@@literallyagalilacegenii7.690 I get packet burst still on Warzone almost every single gunfight 😭. I just now got a 2nd place finish on rebirth because I ran up behind the enemy in a 1v1 finish. I had high ground on the stairs, he was facing away from me. I shot first into his back from inches away, then packet burst, he glitches out of my view and ended up behind me on the stairs shooting my back and getting the win. In the final kill can you can see that he spins around, jumps on the stair walls, runs up and behind me then shoots my back as I'm stil facing where he was down the stairs. So frustrating 😂. I didn't see any of that.. I will say that MWIII is a damn good game but the sbmm and cheaters are really hard to deal with.
I just want actual zombies again. there hasnt been a good zombies experience in like 7 years. cold war zombies was such a disaster or aka warzone zombies. if gulf War comes out and there's stupid raritys, armor plates, and operators then it's literally joever.
I really hope we see weapon and operator carry forward! It helps build a bigger connection to the current game even if we can only use a select use of carry forward weapons in mp

Hopefully gulf war will be by treyarch and there will be a zombie mode. They should claim the rights to zombies. No other studio should be allowed to make a zombie mode. They shouldn’t even mention the word zombies at all in their game otherwise they would get sued by treyarch.

I hope that all the bundles that was purchased from Cold War will transfer to Gulf War just like how it worked with MW3. As a zombies player I would like to see the continuation of the system that was used in Cold War and MWZ, the armor and upgrade system works very well and is really enjoyable. I feel like Treyarch will knock it out of the park this year so let’s hope it’s good.

They'd never go free to play on multiplayer. For a game they spent 4 years working on? The amount of money they'd leave on the table with such a decision like that would be enormous.

Also, speaking of Infinity Ward, ill never buy their games unless they have the core COD fundamentals.. Red dots, fast pace, ninja/dead silence as a perk and working GOOD killstreaks, and would be good to see Specialist Bonus again!!

They tricked the whole zombies community into buying the game by using treyarchs name, they tricked the campaign community with "No Russian and makarov. This is why they are comfortable releasing DLC at $70 cause you fools keep eating it up.
It may have sold 30M copies, but that's because we bought it and couldn't return it. I bought the game on launch and played a few rounds of multiplayer and ONE game of zombies. Apparently, that was "too much play time," so i couldn't get a refund for that steaming pile of trash. May have sold 30M but who actually stuck around? Not 30M. 😂

Infinity Ward absolutely needs to stop making Call of Duty games, they do nothing but ruin the quality and reputation of this franchise. Treyarch and SledgeHammer have more hits than misses, IW has been the exact opposite since the release of Infinite Warfare

Vanguard sold well because the devs talked about it like the dream COD before launch, but it's very much one of the worst games

No matter how good the gameplay of gulf war will be, Skill based matchmaking will ruin it. SBMM is like an infection on this franchise

If this were true, it wouldn't be in the game
Activision spends millions on figuring out the best way to make money, SBMM is more profitable then no SBMM, if it wasn't Activision wouldn't have it in the game, if there was even a small chance it was less profitable it would have been axed years ago
But the fact its here and Activision is so against removing it shows that it is hands down the most profitable change to COD that's ever been added, more so then supply drops
