- I made a DIY workout bench that goes from flat to a 30 degree incline in just 34 seconds. This is part of my DIY plywood home gym set up and this bench is an easy woodworking project that can be made with basic power tools. I like that the incline puts you close to the ground so it’s less risky and maybe easier to get into position with heavy dumbbells.
Ingenious! Simple. Elegant. Functional. Perfect.
Looks super classy and useful - form AND function!
thank you!
The bolts add such an incredible touch!
Looks very sleek. Great work
thank you!
One day! So inspiring to see all these builds and someone who enjoys exercising, what a classy workbench! Good stuff
I've been subscribed to you for years, and I've never seen a Domino or a Woodpeckers jig. Thanks for continuing to keep it simple.
those are great tools but you can always get stuff done with what you have.
It is soo cool to live in a country where you can buy good plywood. Nice bench.
could be made out of metal or solid wood as well
This is one of the more solid designs I've seen.
thank you! still could improve around the bolts to speed transition
amazing. So inspirational.
Brilliant. Great looking and versatile. Bravo
Thank you! Cheers!
Very cool and nice looking. Magnets are a cool touch
Great execution of the incline feature.
Such a nice piece!
Dude why does your playwood look so beautiful? I wish we had that at Home Depot lol
This is a great design! Good job! You could even use the bigger one alone to do abs, by hanging the legs down the upper part if you made a stop for the cushion at the bottom.
Beautiful design, looks dope and its functional!
thank you!
Short and sweet! I love that bench..!
thank you!
great, always wanted a adjustable bench that could also work as a seat to my F1 style simrig! :D
That would be cool!
Great video and project. Love the unique design. Mahalo for sharing! 🙏🙂
thank you for always being supportive! :)
As someone who had adjustable dumbbells at home for years I can tell you constantly having to unscrew stuff gets annoying fast and I just got to the gym again.
yeah I agree on the dumbbell front. I had a gym member ship when I lived in cities but its been almost 5 years in Joshua Tree and I have enjoyed experimenting at home.
I was like why da phuck is Ben making broccoli head molds?!!? LOL!! This is dope Ben. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Super awesome👍
Thank you! Cheers!
you do such a great work ... i would love to see you make a gaming chair
Nice!
thank you!
Someone mentioned propping their legs against a vertical wall to achieve supported inversion, as an effective treatment for certain kinds of muscle pain. Seems like it might be straightforward to add that type of function to this system, maybe with the larger pad on the floor and the smaller pad at the end of the longer frame.
I know this is more complicated than you were trying to go with this project and probably not worth the effort, but looks like you could pretty easily make it stay in one piece during the transition by adding a channel to the long bar of the smaller trapezoid and allowing the connection between to slide along that channel with a wheel or something. To transition from flat to incline, just lift the smaller trapezoid from the far end, flip it up like 140 degrees, slide it along to the end of the channel then set it flat. seems like it would be perfectly stable in the incline position. Maybe in the flat position could use some spring-loaded bolts though. Anyway, great project! I'd like to try it out someday
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Outstanding!! Do you sell the plans for this project?
really like it, can i make it too?
do i need some paper from you if i want to make it? no court case?
I would love plans for your builds.
yes I am looking for a person to make plans of my projects while I am busy with the new house build and hotel project
🎉👏👏👏

That looks cool. Want to make such thing, but I need it to be foldable, so it want take half space of my apartment)
yes! I think a version where one of the modules can slide inside the other would be great
Do u ya is sell the template for this build
I like it. What are the dimensions? Thanks
I want to revise this before making plans. I don't link the double cushion on the short module and I the bolt mech needs improvement.
I'm a bit confused - is this a 'how to' with plans channel, or entertainment only? I keep checking the website for plans, as I'd like to make some of the home gym equipment, but think I'm misunderstanding the purpose of the channel?!? Looks great, would be nice to be able to also make it ;)
You can easily make one if you have the tools.
😍😍😍😍😍
thanks!
@@HomeMadeModern u most welcome
I weigh 220 lbs, do you think I can bench 250lbs on this?
I don't think I've ever seen you wear underwear with words on it before! 😊
Addition: Nordic Curl bar strap
YES!!!! been thinking about it for a while such a powerful bodyweight movement.
People actually complained about having to transition the equipment? They should just leave the five pound dumbbells under the couch.
Dude when will you finally get a workbench? It's way past ridiculous at this point.
Good work, but unfortunately it's useless.
Why?
@Marc-Adrian Polo Probably just a troll. At least how I view all unhelpful or uninformatve messages they likely not to respond back since they probably had no good reason to begin with for their post.
@@GonzoEnt you are so useless, get lost.
I use it 2x a week so your statement is factually incorrect. I do believe that there is a lot of room for improvement with the design
@@HomeMadeModern Well, thank you for the information you provided.
It's cheaper to buy a bench lol.
are you sure? what flat to incline bench were you comparing it to?
I watch many of your steady pace delivery and informed project shares. This one was rushed and in that it (for me) lost the quality you normal share ..
thank you for the observation. I used to prefer slower deliberate videos but they tend to have lower view duration which then lowers their reach. For this recent plywood gym series I feel like I am still in the working prototype phase so I haven't shared plans and detailed step by steps yet. I think I will use this for a while and then come up with an update that has plans.
Too expensive to make in Australia, I can buy a Chinese incline/decline for cheaper.
which one? how much?
34 seconds is too much
what is the longest appropriate amount of time in your estimation?
A solution in search of a problem
I wanted a workout bench so I made one
@@HomeMadeModern I think it's cool. My kid would like this.
It doubles as modernist furniture
Clever but not practical.
practical enough for me to use but I I don't see this becoming a product with wide adoption
@@HomeMadeModern I would use it too but that's because I like this sort of thing but can't imagine the average gym goer messing about with it.
