I don't believe that link is formatted correctly.

Why tf would you trust a piece of wood to hold your body weight instead of using a metal bar? This video is useless and dangeous.
I’m impressed at how strong that is. Looking at it I would not have guessed an adult could do pull-ups on it.
This plywood is similar to skateboard plywood and think how strong 5 skateboards glued together would be
Follow the grain. Plywood is excellent
It would be really neat to have a murphy-bed style, adjustable bench. Something that folds up onto the wall and can be used as an art piece, or a display shelf, but folds down into a flat and inclined bench to use free weights.
I'll be following this series closely :D
yes!
That's a beautiful shape. So organic. Very art nouveau
yes!I was thinking that too!
This is so cool! I think, as far as the profile, I would add concave shapes for resting the hands in. Maybe multiple along the profile for fingers, or a larger one on each side for the each hand. If the bar is going to get consistent use, your hands may wear down the bar to a point that the wood becomes too smooth to grip.
Технология обработки дерева очень понравилась. Мои глаза получили удовольствие
I always appreciate the midriff... 🥰
im building this for sure. this is awesome
Very nice looking, I am fond of the Roman bench as well. I can’t wait to see your new house!
thank you!
Pull ups 4 lyfe
that's right
As a fan of you and modern design… awesome!
Awesome, thank you!
Very creative and well done.
Wow! This is the coolest video on your channel.
thank you!
I like the curves, but I feel like this was maybe inspired by watching a lot of Star Trek. Reminds me of a Klingon bat'leth. Maybe that's just me... Always enjoy you playing with ideas to see where they go and then talking about how you might improve them. Thanks for sharing!
Great video and design discussion. Can always double as a coat rack when you do have guests. Ha. French cleat is super versatile. Mahalo for sharing!
yes! thank you!
Very cool project, I really like the general idea.
Thank you! Cheers!
It's visually very interesting. If you put a hook on top it would look like a giant fancy coat hanger.
Just get some THX straps. I use the Chinese knock-offs and they are great. You could use them to work the whole body, but with anything fitness related they are better as part of a whole-body approach.
Very cool, I also made my a pull up and dip bar out of metal.
Good my friend I'm happy to watching your videos thank you
Very pretty, but I'm not sure on long term safety at the joint once you reach a point where you're using weighted dips. I'd stick to metal.
I thought the same but then I started realizing that my wood handles on axes and sledge hammers are preferable and if taken care of last a really long time so why not
@@HomeMadeModern But the grain on an axe handle better aligns with the forces needed for that right?
Martin guitars were confident enough to use plywood for some of their acoustic guitar necks, and there’s a lot of tension on guitar strings. However, that force is only in one direction so time will tell if they hold up. My guess is the part that hooks on to the cleat might wear down eventually, but we’ll have to find out. It is still an interesting idea
I give you a kind reminder that those from the east that took down ancient Rome used wood and resin layers for their crossbows used from horses. Some found in pope shape are still 1000's of years later stronger than metal bows. You would not think it is so.
Remember plywood is multiple glued layers, the glue is stronger than the wood.
Cool ‘sketch’ idea. I’m thinking that a vertical post can be setup 1.5m-2m from the wall, and a top attachment can span between the wall cleat and the post, that way you can swing your knees more or do leg raises and such. Will take up more floor space, but better than having space taken up by a large footprint free-standing structure.
That wall cleat will also be good for vertical storage to keep stuff off the floor
That would be cool
Would love something like this!
French cleat is very smart to this application
Man you are god sent lol . Can u share an idea or 2 on how to get a place to hang at apartment with low ceiling . Was thinking about wall pull up bar . Not sure how I can set up one without having the room looking like a cell 😂
Excellent! 👏👏
Great idea!
thanks!
that's the most beautiful pull up bar I've ever seen
thank you! I agree
very cool! When will the first episode of the new home be up?
awesome
That’s cool! I like that 3d cutter you use in the beginning. What’s it called?
Cool project. Now I know where those brawny fire arms come from.
Sou aqui do Brasil se esse equipamento, poderia ser um sucesso aqui no meu País pode ser colocado em qualquer lugar!!!.
Здорово 🙌
Beautiful
thank you
Really cool idea, looks awesome! Do you think your boys at semi exact could make a steel French cleat track system that you then clad over with wood for a warmer look?
I think a 1 inch piece of angle steel would work just fine if you drilled holes in it
Can you make a video on a office table for client meetings which is minimal, low cost and preferably all white like an executive table.
It will be a great help.
Its very cool looking! I love the shape, but I think it needs more space from the wall.
I think 4 more inches would be ideal
Swedish ladder attachment would work. How much weight can that pull up bar take? Seems like a steel pipe would make the whole job a lot easier.
Innovative design, not for me though. I don't think I'd need to be able to move equipment around and everything would end up being fixed in place without ever making use of the split cleats.
300lbs under dynamic loading at least
@@HomeMadeModern Wow! How many lbs do you pull up?
So nice brother
Can you make it look more like a longhorn cow skull? Versatile and artistic.
Did you make it or did you CNC machine make it?
Genius
thank you!
This looks like part of an elvish lord of the rings work out set up ha. Also humble brag muscle ups ;) Cool idea!
little bit!
👍 Either integrated into the french cleat or as an attachment (especially if fitted above a doorway), a hangboard seems like an excellent addition and perfect for the X Carve (basically just pockets and holes). Maker Ranch 2.0 (or 3.0?) is gonna be sweet! 🔥
yes!
Want to buy one. How much?
Can you share the cad drawing for this?
천재물건이다
A 48" wide plate against the wall behind a dip rack would help but it would if tad bit unwieldy.
yes!
عمل ممتاز جدا good 👏👏👍👍
You might think of a way to incorporate exercise bands into the system.
yes! light weight and compact
I think it would better to make it adjustable vertically for short and tall people. Just my thought.
An alternative way to use that wall for exercise is to build a climbing wall with holds or use a fingerboard.
yes although I think I will end up doing a climbing wall outside out of real stone
Do you have plans??
As nice as that it is its cheaper and better to go down to your local park that has bars...
Make a bulls head with L shaped horns. Make it so the horns rotate so you switch from pull ups to dips on 1 device
yes!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
👍👍👍👍
thanks!
If I drink Athletic Greens will I get abs like you?
I see that your channel is very valuable. I would love to repost your whole channel, without changing anything, on the clean and valuable platform named Ganjing World. If you agree with that, please let me know. Thanks!
Tony Ferguson is the type a guy to french cleat his pull up bar...
Зачем так заморачиваться, когда можно 3 трубы сварить и цементом залить
Круто... Но если вес не за сотку.
nice but would always be thinking it will break and injure me lol being tall means i weight about 280 pounds with almost no fat and only average muscles ;| if i bulk up i would get over 300 pounds.
I don't suffer from this type of fear because I just read the structural specs on materials but I have empathy for people who do
@@HomeMadeModern i have broke the steel welded commercially available ones and had a nice lump on my head for a week ;|
where's your hangboard? !!
Человек сделал плохой турник. Красиво но пользоваться неудобно
a leaf blower WTF?
lol
even though it's a masterpiece woodwork but it's too ecpensive, i prefer to buy premade from metal
understandable
That is one loooonnnnggg sponsor commercial. Lol
yeah that was a bit on the long side
DIY but starts out with muti-thousand dollar machine lol.
I like the design and flexibility but i don't think it will be strong enough to support my bodyweight + 90lbs extra weight..
The answer is simple. Grab a knife and cut off some of that extra weight.
I think you underestimate wood. think about sledge hammer handles
It’s beautiful, but get to several pull ups per set and >200lbs… eh not so useful
@@HomeMadeModern double laminated plywood is indeed strong, my issue is the fasteners on the device, the cleat wall and the studs. isn't the face screwed and glued on to the perpendicular piece that hooks into the cleat? it will probably be strong but it makes me hesistate as i am paranoid as i had wall mounted stuff fail on me on heavy weight pullups. lol
@@HomeMadeModern im 180lbs and i max out with additional 135lbs on chain belt.
If i wanted to make it...where would i get that kind of machine? Diy my ass
Any title that contains diy and uses a cnc machine shows how far you have come and how far away from us you got.
Looks very dangerous. With time, it might ware out and come off causing a serious accident.
First
:)
Это не для тренировок, это понт
Khaby Lame 🤷🏿♂ 😑 🤷🏿♂
Dude using a cnc machine is not diy lol
Just from initial observation that is a poor design for chin ups because you're not adequately promoting supination. From an injury prevention and biomechanical activation standpoint.
