BNSF is starting to cleanup the train that derailed due to the devastating flood in Sumas, Washington. There were also numerous volunteers from all around the area who came to help gut flooded homes and cook for workers.

I live only a few miles from Sumas, and they were indeed hit very hard by this event. But it must be said that the outpouring of support from the local communities has been nothing short of exemplary.

I live in Bellingham just 30 minutes from Sumas. Parts if Bellingham was also under water. Clean up is on going. Going to take a long time and a lot of money to clean up and repair the water damage .

REMINDS ME OF THE LAST BIG FLOOD IN KANSAS CITY 1993!
I WAS WORKING IN THE AT&SF ARGENTINE YARDS ON THE INTERMODAL THROUGH TRAIN
    SERVICING!
WHILE WE HAD LITTLE DAMAGE IN THE YARDS , WE HAD ONLY ONE TRACK AVAILABLE INTO AND OUT, THE WESTBOUND HIGH LINE VIA HOLIDAY JUNCTION!
FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS, WOULD PUNCH IN, GET IN MY WORK TRUCK , PARK ON THE RIVER DIKE AND WATCH THE FLOOD ROLL BY!!
    WAS AN EASY 3 WEEKS!!

UN 3257/HOT placards is usually used for asphalt oil. That gets put down on bare earth during every road paving project. I think the area is doing just fine.

Because the drywall and everything is saturated with sewage filled water and will mildew and mold if you leave it in. this is standard flood recovery procedure

The placard told me all I need to know. What is/is not in those tanks is asphalt oil. Used in almost all road paving projects, and put down on bare earth. I am willing to bet all is well there.
