Yep.. rivers are nature.. they change all the time... sometimes slowly .... sometimes very quickly... that's the way nature works.

It is like the Faser river! I'm thinking of how my dad, a dedicated Sunday fisherman who always followed the fishing, from the Vedder to Chehalis, Thompson-Nicola, Fraser and more. He'd be shocked but yup floods & hurricanes always mess up what'd turned to our beloved spots & river ways. The late 60's hurricane ! ruined the creek on our Albion property. Thanks for this.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yes it is unfortunate. Hopefully it won’t affect salmon population crazy down the future.

Did the same thing in Merritt, left it's original riverbed and created a new one, right down a street.

Amazing, just goes to show who's in charge. Streams, rivers, Lakes, oceans, have the right to personhood until we treat water as a person, then we won't get anywhere. Sure, Drain a lake or move entire rivers systems for a way of life, rain and water will win out. Water isn't a bully to people. People can be a bully to mother nature. Release mother nature. She's doing her job. I've walked through there before, a beautiful area.

You may be needing to build a few bridges if the water level doesn't lower back to normal. When mother nature changes the landscape we adapt. Good luck.
