He knew that someone had betrayed the Order (Snape) so there was a possibility that someone could have killed or kidnapped Harry and the Death Eaters were spying on the Order. Therefore, Remus asked Harry a question that only he and Harry knew the answer to and that the Death Eaters wouldn't think to interrogate out of Harry
alfred pn because they knew that harry was being moved Remus thought their was a traitor so he asked a question to harry that he knew if that was the real harry he would answer
except the part with the Grindylow was only in the book not the movie so it technically makes no sense to ask this in the movie

Anyway i'm not sure if tonks was announcing that she was pregnant but calculating.. the battle of the seven potters was the 27 July 1997, nine months after (April) Teddy is born, than in may the battle of Hogwarts.. in the scene at the Dursley's, she even said "my husband the joker".. IDK I JUST LOVE THEM
mreesbenz - Remus was my fav character too alongside Snape and I just absolutely adored Tonks she was so funny and she only had 6 mins of screen time overall in the movies, I really wish she was seen more and with her relationship with Remus, because if you’d have only watched the films and not read the books you wouldn’t have understood when their relationship even began and that they even had a son😩 we needed more of them
In the entire series, Fred and George were only seen apart two times. The first time, George lost an ear. The second time, Fred was murdered. Rest in Peace Fred Weasley

I'm surprised that he even remembered that little detail. If I were asked such a question I'd fail miserably and get a Killing Curse to the face. Or maybe I can substitute by saying Luipn taught me the Patronus Charm and how he used a bogart to simulate a Dementor and my first attempt failed. These big things in my life I'd still remember as Harry not some tiny detail about some random animal living in Lupin's office.

Yeah, because Hedwig has been dedicated hundreds of hours and pages of development by the author to make us sooo invested in that character. I mean wow, her lines, characterization, and development over these books have been so deep, profound, and intriguing. Her journey as a mail delivering owl was as thrilling as seeing Ron and Hermione growing as people. In fact, I think this bird's death is so much more tragic and saddening than when Sirius died.
Better yet, do you remember what Hedwig said when she delivered the 5th mail to Harry? Wow, that really made me like her and invest so much in her mail delivering life!

One thing that was cut from Snape's memories was that in the book, it was revealed that Dumbledore told Snape to give Voldemort the correct date of Harry's departure in order for Snape to remain useful enough (and increase his chances of being appointed headmaster by Voldemort so that Snape can secretly protect the students). Second was that the Seven Potters plan was Snape's idea to confuse the Death Eaters, he used a Confundus Charm on Mundungus and ordered him to suggest the idea to Moody, making it sound like it was Mundugus's idea.

Snape also saved Lupin’s life here as revealed in his memories (at the expense of George’s ear) but even so. Wish this detail, as well as many others, would have been portrayed in the movie.
The 7 potters plan was dumbledore's idea. He(or rather his portrait) told Snape who planted it in Mudungus's head, who told the order.

I wish they had used the book explanation of Harry using expelliarmus. I felt it really added to Harry's character, the fact that he'd rather disarm someone than kill them is what sets him apart
That's true but everyone knows and uses Expelliarmus. It's not like Snape and Sectumsempra. Even though I know what JK was going for in the book, it just seemed a bit contrived especially since it was Stan and not someone else who was at the Graveyard when Harry uses Expelliarmus against Voldemort.
That part when he got soft with Stan and that's the reason that Vol --- I mean You-know-Who knew it was the real Harry?
It was someone who was at the graveyard or at least heard about it. It's not Stan who alerts anyone. Harry disarms him and immediately one of the other Death Eaters freaks out and they all pull back. The reason it was so significant that Harry used Expelliarmus is because at that particular moment it was a pretty impractical spell. It would've been much easier to simply use Stupefy or some other spell that would surely kill the Death Eater.
It's also an incredibly basic spell and Harry was well known among the Death Eaters for being crazy enough to try a non-lethal spell against Voldemort.
harry killed 3 death eaters in the battle of the 7 Potters , the scene was to show that he wasn't willing to kill civilians even if they were under the imperius curse and attacking him

Lupin deserves so much more. He's one of my favorite characters.

Then he's in the Order and he's good again. Then he kills Dumbledore and you presume he is evil. It reveals the true story in the pensieve...

This, just like Molly's line, really proves how he will protect and love his children till the day he dies. Man, I love the Weasleys! (other than Percy, am I right?)

Identical twin humor is the pinnacle. I knew a pair of identical sisters years ago and some of the shit they would say or do to each other just straight up killed me.
That's moments like this one that make me feel even more depressed because of Fred's death. I've always been loving the twins for their sense of humour and their keen taste for pranks, but even in darker times, even when a situation seemed hopeless, they ALWAYS managed to get the best of their circumstances, to crack jokes and relax the atmosphere. Looks like they were everyone's rays of sunshine. Ugh, these two were too good for this world.
The movies really did deprive us of a lot but this scene was great. One of my favorite Remus/Tonks moments. The way Lupin dives for the door when they hear someone’s arrival, his look of relief when his wife shows up unscathed, their embrace, etc. A beautiful couple who really should have had more moments together. Wish the movies would have devoted just a bit more time to them, their marriage, Tonks’ pregnancy, and Teddy’s birth. The scene in DH where Lupin and Harry have an altercation at Grimmauld Place would have been especially interesting to see. And I would honestly love an entire book or tv series dedicated to Tonks and Lupin one day. I do love the things JK Rowling wrote on Pottermore a few years ago expanding upon their relationship. But there were so many missing moments from the HBP and DH movies that I wish had been kept in. Love the scenes where they’re in the background with each other though (i.e. at the Dursley’s and Bill and Fleur’s wedding).
The Weasley twins started off with all 4 ears then ended it with only 1. 😥

Even in the darkest moments of the story, Fred and George never stopped injecting humor when it was needed.
Fred’s voice when he responds to George sounds exactly like this amazing guy I met studying abroad and I will never not flash back to those moments when I watch this 💕
Only thing wrong with this scene imo is that they skip out one crucial line. Arthur shouts, "I'll prove who i am, kingsley, after ive seen my son. Back off, if you know whats good for you". Harry notes it was the first time hed ever heard arthur shout like that. Takes away from the emotion. Such a stoic, calm, peaceful man loses his composure when his sons lifes on the line. A shame it isnt included

I think Percy and Charlie were the only lucky ones, though Percy did get brainwashed by the Ministry and refused to come back until near the end of the 7th book.
Btw I was pretty pissed off they "forgot" Charlie in the movies.

I love the pause before Lupin asks Harry that question, it shows he’s thinking of a question that only Harry would know the answer too, it’s not immediate. Idk just makes it more realistic I guess
My favorite parts of this are the moments Harry has with Ginny and then with Hermione and Ron. You can clearly see that Harry wants to touch or hug Ginny when he arrives but he feels like he can't and then when Ron shows up he lets Hermione hug him first and then envelops both of them in a hug because he is so happy they are safe.

Lupin always was the only one of the Marauders that Snape liked... James was a dick, Sirius was obnoxious towards him, and Pettigrew was a little rat (pun was unintentional).
Yeah, that's better wording. The biggest hint is that Snape tried to save Lupin in Deathly Hallows but accidentally hit George in the ear. I can't possibly imagine Snape trying to save James.
