They had Emma do it as Hermione and Helena do it as Bellatrix with each other watching and then started doing combinations of them. So Emma giving her impression of Helena's Bellatrix etc.. It's really odd to watch.

@@niko5191 Well, she might’ve been stuck at the bottom of the lake for awhile and who knows how long the enchantment allowing her, Hermione, Ron, and Cho to breathe underwater was going to last. They only had an hour, after all. So technically Harry DID save Gabrielle.
@@niko5191 Not to Fleur. She didn't know specifics. Neither did the rest. Harry risking not only his chance to win, but his own safety for a person he doesn't know speaks volumes. And it speaks most to Fleur. Even if she did know there was no danger, Harry risking so much for it is still an admirable trait

In the movies it was cut out but Fleur's mother is Half-Veela, that makes Fleur quarter-veela, and her daugther with Bill eight-veela. (Forgive me if I have mixed up any names, I read the novels in brazillian portuguese and they changed some of the names)

@@adrianchannelle8651 I don't know if that's true to be honest, 20 years before this scene maybe, but Mad Eye is old now (bookwise the characters probably around 60 or 70) and (again in the books) he was overpowered in Goblet of Fire by Wormtail, then in OoTP by 2 recently escaped Death Eaters at the Dept of Mysteries, then again here he dies pretty much immediately after they leave Privet Drive. Sadly I think age got to Moody and majorly killed his reflexes, he was just the leader due to being the oldest.

Another thing to note about this scene: Mad-Eye's magical eye can see both through the back of his head, and canonically through things like an invisibility cloak. For him not to spot the real Harry just shows how effective the Polyjuice Potion really is.
Especially when brewed properly
It's not that it's effective. It's not an illusion, but a transformation. THe eyes sees through illusions, but the polyjuice actually transforms you.
Just to correct you a bit that actually nothing can see through the invisibility cloak, since it's a deathly hallow. When JK Rowling was asked how Dumbledore was able to see through the invisibility cloak in book 1 (during mirror of erised scene) she told that he used the human presence revealing spell- Homenum Revelio because nothing in the world can see through the invisibility cloak. I'm sure it's the same case with Mad-Eye's magical eye! :)

Fun fact for those who haven't read the books, the polyjuice potion turned gold in the deathly hallows book after hermione added Harry's hair too it.
For contrast in the Chamber of Secrets book the illegal polyjuice potion turned bogey green when Harry and Ron added Crabbe and Goyle's hair too it.

@@krishnawidardjo5777maybe its supposed to represent how pure/good the person you used for the polyjuice is, like because harry have a good personality thats why his polyjuice potion turned much more colorful and tastier, meanwhile crabbe and goyle has an awful personality so it made their polyjuice potion taste disgusting and looked less colorful.

For Harry, it’s his father’s Animagus form, which was a powerful stag named Prongs. His particular Patronus is a form of protection and leadership, which shows how good of a person Harry actually is. The color in a Polyjuice Potion reflects the personality and traits of the hairs that are added in. It’s also theorized that the brighter and happier the color is, the effects time and actual usage can vary

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Daniel Radcliffe’s acting? It was absolutely on point! Especially Fleur, Hermione putting on his glasses, and the stature of Mundungus.

The films may have problems but the casting was always spot on. One of the best casts for an adaptation ever.
Best parts of this scene: Dan wearing a bra, Fred trying to diffuse the tension, Fred and George saying they're identical, Hermione looking like she has a unibrow, and George's little grin when Hermione rips out Harry's hair.

After rewatching the scene, it's rather amusing to realize that Hermione, the only other one of the seven Potters (besides Harry himself) who grew up in the Muggle world, was both the quickest to transform and to get dressed in the Muggle clothes despite being the last one to drink the Polyjuice Potion.
