“There’s not enough signs” he says whilst there’s 4 feet of water in front of him 😂
Selection of the fittest
@3:52 “there aren’t enough signs” - the sign is it’s a RIVER!
The fact you can’t see the road is a clue🙄
You would think as a Taxi driver he would have a tiny bit of common sense ...... obviously not though
I said to him off camera you’re a professional driver you can’t use excuses such as a sign when there’s a visible river in front of you. His passengers were asleep in the back too 😮
@@Discoveryjamie that’s ridiculous.
@@pking6021 I said if you did 60 in a 30 and said I didn’t see a sign the police wouldn’t let you off. I believe police considering driving without due and attention charges to both cab drivers
I bet the insurance companies love watching these videos to quite rightly avoid paying out
They deserve to not be paid out cant fix idiots behaviour
I would love to read the claims statements, those would be a work of Fiction, the claims handlers must piss themselves laughing.
They dont need videos, flooding is excluded on most policies anyway. it's under force majeure.
Totally avoidable so insurance company will not pay out!
.....you should be careful being all 'self righteous Sun editorial'...sitting in judgement over these people, y'know...
...YOU could be the poor dumb idiot who misjudges the depth of a stretch of water.....
.....and needs to make a claim.. !!!
Why was the silly young woman removed from the car with a boat ! She could easily of just got out and waded through the water . Utter waste of taxpayer’s money .
Hopefully she’ll get charged for that.
Should send them the bill, how have these idiot's past their test, I passed mine in 1979, would never drive through water, I would find another route
Did you not recognise her? It was Vicky Pollard yeah but no but so she is a celebrity right.
Proper stupid cow
Have a heart she might have got her socks wet😂😂
The old 4X4 boy literally live for this. Bet they are all nursing semi’s as they wade through water with their winches and tow with all their lights flashing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kudos to Mister sensible at the end. Didn't rush, realised it wasn't happening, backed out and took the extra few minutes diversion.
That's me most times I see a flood. I use a wheelchair and thought of cold flood water up to my balls is the stuff of nightmares 😂
They’re so incredibly concerned about getting wet feet, but completely ok with risking their car. 😂
Shoes aren't covered by insurance.
I was shocked at 6:10 like is she allergic to water or something? Wasting resources, calling the meat wagon out just to float you out of the water, meanwhile they're walking through it.. insane.
Love how the Bentley and rolls got an escort through the shallows but the rest of the commoners were left to go through the deep end lmoa
She asked can I walk in front. Didn’t know I was been filmed haha
@@Discoveryjamie you should have asked for a tenner to do it.
It was rather like the early days of motoring when 'your man' walked in front with a red flag
A moment of recognition for everyone involved with the rescues / recoveries you’re all legends 👏🏼 👏🏼
Thankyou ❤❤❤ good bunch for sure 👍
Assuming they are paid and not a charity organisation?
@@wilbobagins The people that get stuck don’t have to pay to be towed out, the rescuers do it just to be kind 😊
so many idiots to rescue
Did M'Lady pay the serf to walk in front of her Roller to make sure it wasn't too deep?
No she didn’t 😅 I stood there any not even a wave 😅
@@Discoveryjamie wow!
@@Discoveryjamie Doesn't surprise me. Probably a far-right tory voter.
Context for the taxis. First driver in the water New Year’s Day 4.30am with customers in the car. Evacuated etc etc left the car in the water. 6.30am black fully electric vito. Drives into the water with 2 passengers asleep in the back. 2 miles from home from London. He enters with the other taxi in the middle….bins his taxi fire brigade rescue etc. argues with me there was no sign. Missed the signs. The car in the middle. 4ft of water 😅😅😅 professional driver (Addison Lee)
"professional driver (Addison Lee)"
Well which was it?
Usually EV's are better going through floods.
But then as this was nearly 4 foot deep....ie a river....it's a different matter 🤣
I mean even if there were no signs ...just look at it....look at the fences at each side and how submerged they are.....
Those two taxis actually made the news.
This will never get old
What possesses anyone to take a car into 4 feet of water?? You shouldn’t need a sign.
Sat nav shows them the correct road to take
@@kevinbushell2746 They saw it only halfway up on the ducks
@@ericchapman399😂
The instruction manual said to dip the headlights...... 😂
Blinker fluid restored.
That’s one knackered Mercedes taxi with all 4 wheels locked solid. Council shout take his taxi licence off him endangering passengers like that!
I like coming back to these videos months later and then checking the MOT history online out of curiosity to see which ones have been written off
Most of them?
Great idea, 😁
The absolute stupidity of some people... And that precious princess that refused to wade and needed rescue. Taxpayer's happy to oblige!
Yep amazing, especially when all emergencies services turn up to save you from getting your feet wet!!
I made the mistake once in about only 2ft of water, although the 3 of us travelling in convoy were doing absolutely fine until a 4x4 decided to overtake us from the rear, at speed creating a bow wave forcing water over the cars… switched the engine off immediately, pushed each other out & gave things a bit of a dry out including the air filter 2 of us had no long term damage!
This is by far the best one yet. You've outdone yourself. Watching this kind of stupidity is so addictive. Thanks.
Better than average CZcams cinematography.
"I have too much money to read signs." 😆
Dont know whats more embarrassing driving my car into 4ft of water or getting rescued by a little boat
dingy of shame
Always the rescue. Especially if it’s being filmed 😅
Both equal!
It's the fact that she needed 'rescuing' from that. Just walk through the damn water.
The next thing they will try and operate a submarine on dry land!!!!!!!!
It’s actually impressive to ruin a box van this way in this depth of water. What a complete sausage that guy was.
Your videos are fantastic thank you!
Thank you for watching 😊
Best one yet Ben 👍👍👍
My goodness, how impressive !
😂😂😂😂 just incredible!
The mind boggles at the stupidity of some people. Taxi driver not seeing nor in his opinion having enough "sign's" to warn him, how's he got a license?
Love the edit on this one
Some real Winkers in this world ;)
The Year of Ben !!! (If I had a RR, I wouldn't even take it out of the garage on a rainy day!)
Fantastic. Deep water there great 😎👍
This kid got famous, recording cars going through water fairplay to him
Scary that people who need a sign to tell them not to drive their car into waist deep water can drive a car, vote, procreate…
Explains why the Tories have been in power for so long!!
..... make a smug comment on CZcams......!!!
@@njebarrlike Labia are much better?
And then tell me he didn’t see it it’s 6ft tall 2 foot wide reflective 😅
That Merc minibus is going to be expensive to replace they are around £60-70k
The old Sutton splash great fun
Would love to see the outcome of their insurance claim
In these types of instances, the Insurance Companies tend to water down the claims.
Sadly, these idiots probably will get insurance payouts, and the rest of us suffer massive premium uplifts as a result!
@@neilt Like last year along with household insurance gone through the roof and never made a claim for either in over 30 years.
It’s likely majority will be paid as classes as “ flood damage “
@@neilt they generally don't.
With most policies you are not insured for driving through water.
Yes Ben sick video has to the first ever fail
That mess that needed to be rescued by the fire service with a boat 🤦🏻♂️ Entitled much?
At 7.05 the disco is looking a bit aggressive , thought he was going to drive into you, definitely turned the steering wheel towards you
Yep total wanker. That Volvo was driving through aggressively too. Probably overdue his booster 💉
His a friend of ours mate he was driving towards us. But fully expected 👍
that's good to know, @@Discoveryjamie
Sierra Alpha Alpha Bravo….your mission is complete
People as thick as this never used to be let out of the house, now they are out causing havoc everywhere
Surely that emergency rescue team wasn't called just to extricate the woman from the car?!
That sign should be "Ford in the middle of deep water"
I wasnt looking at signs... classic
Завидую эвакуаторщикам, работающим на тех самых бродах!!!
If only there was a sign to tell these people how deep it is!!!!
The sound of the hydro locking ouuuuuch
It’s not only water intake into the engine that kills the cars/vans, it’s also the electric wiring connections that are low in the car. ie wiring looms and connections that run in the sills, under the seats etc that later rust and corrode. So yo replace the engine and a year later the vehicle is failing because the electrics are shot.
Today Matthew I want to be Stockton Rush 😂😂
Ive heard of water taxis but thats ridiculous 😂
The lady being rescued by boat could of been disabled or pregnant we couldn't really see. She should have realised that her car would swim though.
They are so thoughtless!
Electric Mercedes van sold for £62k in October...
Probably seen a little depreciation since, mostly in the last week.
So some sort of platform over the water would be a good idea then? What are those things called?
You've gotta be shittin' me at 6:14 ? .... The emergency services were called to rescue a submerged Fiesta with a bag of groceries !!
Иногда нужно не только передачу включить но и голову😂
Hahaha crazy
Reminds me of when we rented a Renault 4 in Morocco years ago. After 2 days of rain we decided to drive into the mountains. As we went on we encountered a series of floods across the roads. Eventually got to one that was just too deep, and vehicles were queuing to be pushed across.
Had a look at the map and thought there was another road we could try. Of course, more floods and eventually the car packed up after getting through one of them. Getting dark in the middle of nowhere, 50 miles from the hotel.
Got a lift in a passing pickup back to the deep ford, and got a taxi (pushed through the ford by locals) back to the hotel. The car rental people weren't pleased they had to head miles into the hills to recover the car. We did get it back a day later though.
I really do not understand the mentality of some people.
Why the hell did she need a flipping boat ? My god what a silly bint 🤦♀️
That 1st white Luton box van driver was a total tool.
I guess the Ford finally made though the Ford!
Gotta laugh when people are like "the water has damaged my battery, it just goes click click click" no man the water has damaged the wheels, they just don't make the car go along no more haha.
That's an extremely expensive electric van he's just wrote off 😮

More antics from the Inner and Outer Mongolians
6:26 did she call emergency services to avoid getting her feet wet?
ok you have drivers licence but also brains !!!
What possesses people to even think this is a good idea! Doh. 😂
When washing your vehicle inside & out goes array. And I didn’t know taxis did riverside tours.
No wonder insurance is so high ..serious lack of common sense ..
Some people honestly believe they drive a submarine. 😂
Merc fully electric?
Another reason everyone's vehicle insurance has skyrocketed this year!
That blokes statement that he wasn't looking for any signs was priceless! The complete lack of any visible road should be enough warning.
Ever heard of a ford?
9:43 - only person with a snorkel backs out....
So the online photo/video(?) of the taxi and other car were yours, Ben?
He has full rights to use the videos 👍
Love how you focused on the merc and BMW 😂 they hate water 😂😂😂😂
How did the elecric merc drown?
We believe as he got so far that he reached the stick car and made a mistake during reversing. Possibly component failure due to the levels
5:20 did the Bentley have a man walk ahead.
Part of driving is to LOOK AT SIGNS 😂 muppet
More priceless footage of muppets from Ben. Good job! Disappointed that the expensive looking EV failed. My second generation EV Renault Zoe was brilliantly water proofed to protect the traction battery and electrics. Water halfway up the driver's door but just kept going! Needed drying out inside the cabin next day, though! Thanks.
I hope the passengers in the taxi didn't pay the idiot driver ...
4 ft deep and still try it. Madness!
Deep water in middle of ford.
Deep water in middle of kia.
Deep water in middle of mercedes … etc. etc.
They are possessed
I’m surprised the EQV couldn’t get out, all the other EVs have been good.

6:40 is it just me or is it really perfetic that someone feel it's needed to call out all the emergency services for 2 feet of water when they get themselves into a dickhead situation
*pathetic

CZcams doesn't want me to suggest taking a SUP down there and waiting for the waves 🤷🏻♂️ explain how that breeches guidelines
6:37 well, isn’t it Vicky Pollard over there?
For how long do these people sit in their flooded cars, risking hypothermia, waiting for the emergency services to turn up?
Often 25 minutes where I film. They can’t enter the water until the whole team is there it’s a specialist team too
If I'm driving and I come across a road that's flooded, I'm probably gonna assess my options carefully. If I come across a road that's flooded *and* there are people with cameras filming it, I'm immediately turning around.
That rolls royce driver paid the guy to guide his way? Or to measure the depth?
Princess weetoddit
The girl in the Fiesta who didn't want to get her feet wet...I hope they send her the £7000 rescue bill!
Legend has it someone's still waiting for their taxi.
Hydrolocked
I think its called hydraulic lock, if they are lucky. If they are unlucky it's called bent conrod. I've driven Landrovers through water deeper than that, but they were built for it, with their air intakes above the roof.
Hydro-lock named after the greek hydro(water)
What about the electric Mercedes?
@@hks-lion we belive something happened when he got to the vehicle in the middle rather then “failure” maybe driver error. Or electrical component failure. 4ft is excessive. What’s not obvious is it had floated for a period too.
@@hks-lion if water gets inside the vehicle and shorts out the wiring/modules located on the floor and sides of the car it doesn't matter what kind of magic makes it turn the wheels.
@@Rover200Power yes but because the batteries tend to run at such high voltage (I think 300-400V in this case) they are supposed to be almost completely water tight so it’s still a little surprising that the EQV failed in this case. However, equally it’s not exactly designed to go waiting through 4ft of water 🙈
Consider the phrase:-----"Double+Dipping." 🌊 💦👀🚗🌊💦
