@@Biomeducated Thanks bro, so if 10,000 EU per year this will be enough to cover up all our spends when studying at Ghent University? I will study Master of Eng, but I'm hoping Ghent University will offer me some scholarship.
@@herman76ban83 That's hard to say my friend. I never had the cost of housing and food, as I lived only 30-minute train ride away from campus. I recommend you check with student counseling of Ghent University ;) Good luck with engineering!
Hold ! U get paid for ur research ?
Yes! Doing a PhD in Belgium is basically a job! Depending on how you get your financing, you pay taxes or not. In my case I'm occupying a TA position, hence the university pays me and I pay taxes. My earlier attempt for a doctorate was to get a scholarship for 4 years, but started out on a 1 year scholarship that was available, and then I did not pay taxes. Nonetheless, in both cases you are registered as both a student, as well as an employee of the university.
