Can they do it when the pressure is on!? Anyway.....the lakers main problem is defense. They can score in a variety of ways, but cannot seem to stop the other top tier teams when it matters. Particularly in the paint. Lebron has been know through his career as one of the most unslefish superstars in history, and is no where near trying to avg his career highs.

Lebron was doing that last year as well. Last year and this year, Lebron has played more off the ball than any other time in his career outside of playing with Wade or Kyrie. He would do that with Wade and Kyrie because he could trust them and they were consistent.

LeBron James has been the system for a team since his second season in the NBA. He controls the tempo, decides who gets involved on offense, and is the primary ball-handler and scorer. So the other players naturally defer to him.
As for playing like this when James comes out of the game, he is 18th in the NBA in minutes per game at 35.2. It may be too much to expect players to shift gears that drastically when James is out less than 13 minutes per game.

Don't understand how people think LeBron isn't already taking a step back, every game he lets Dlo and Reaves handle the ball, and in those games the lead usually dissappears whenever LeBron takes a rest and he has to actually try and score afterwards lol. Because for years teams led by LeBron have always struggled and played poorly without his presence on the court. This team he’s playing with is different. To me this game was more about the Bucks falling apart than the lakers playing well. Lakers were shooting 35% for most of the game and were down by 19. They played really well for 6mins of this game and the bucks couldn't hit anything.
