    • @codyb.3015

The difference is negligible if it ends up working out.
Like if Love had been taken 8th overall but ended up working out, we wouldn't be saying the Packers were dumb for using an 8
And the Packers got criticized at the time for taking Love too
It's only over the last year that people even started giving them credit for that. (Which will be the case for Atlanta as well if Penix works out)

It literally does not matter… And as a fellow Vikings fan, we should’ve taken Michael Penix. Ourselves… Trading up with Tennessee, once New England said no, and decided to stick and pick.
But no, it doesn’t matter where he was taken, if it ends up working out, and it’s not like they are particularly needy on the offensive line or at receiver, the receivers that we’re going at that spot in the draft… And with the defensive scheme that they run, it’s not like they needed any pressed corners. A pass washer? They can get that next year or later in the draft, or in free agency, but nothing matters if they don’t have the quarterback of the future after Kirk cousins… Because they saw what Kirk cousins this to the Vikings: he kept them far enough away in the draft, from being able to select in the top 10 without giving up a boatload

You remember the name of that TE they got? Of course you don't. Bijan is about to be forgotten too and Penix will too. Then, when all their talent is in the second string nobody will remember them or have tape on them.
