Hey Nick. Caleb over Love is bulletin board material. Chatted that screenshot to all the Packer players
For the most part, especially when compared to his terrible "Mahomes Mountain" QB rankings, I agreed with the ranking minus a few exceptions (Disclaimer upfront; I'm a Packers fan):
1. Raiders should at least be a tier or two higher, because Gardner Minshew was fine last season, they have a solid defense, and their coaching should be MUCH better than last season.
2. Bucaneers should be higher for the reasons already stated
3. Bears should be at least below the Packers and Lions (though above the Vikings due to their other positional upgrades), since they haven't exactly had a great track record with coaching or QB development in the past few decades, alongside Brou's reasoning
4. Maybe it's just me being impressed by how the Browns held up despite all of their injuries, but why in the world are the Browns ranked SO FAR below the Bengals and Steelers?
Still an awesome sports show, regardless, as your guy's chemistry is amazing 👏

It was perfect because KC gave them all PTSD 😂😂

A puddle of mudd reference is wild💀
Taking me back to 2002
In 2003, I worked at GE in Kansas City. And one co-worker, was a Puddle of Mudd superfan. Friends with the lead singer, POM memorabilia all over her desk. Being IT, and her being an idiot, I was at her desk a lot fixing sh!t. The literal hours I spent at her workstation, was regaled with tales aplenty of the band, and her odd encounters with Wes Scantlin. And yes, they are a Kansas City band. All that being said, I do like their music.
I went to their record release party where they played a set on top of 7th Heaven(I think that was the name of the headshop). Ahhh fun times.
No… it’s Wildes
@@theredneckhippie1515yea 7th Heaven is a music store on troost ave
The browns that low after an 11-win season???? While getting a lot of starters back from injury. The disrespect is crazy
That's what I'm saying. Crazy!
Tell me right now you think they're gonna win 11 games again with Baltimore Cincinnati and Pittsburgh all being better and having better QBs
Well ya backup QB was better than your starter and they didn't bring him back. Watson looks checked out since he cashed out. Life post tug jobs hadn't been great for that man
@@samuelgaona7196
Well first of all they own Cincinnati. So that isn’t an issue.
They beat Lamar in Baltimore with Watson.
They beat the Steelers with a backup QB.
And there’s no guarantee the Steelers QB is any good.
The Browns consistently win at least 3 games against the AFC North under Stefanski. They have the defense to keep their offense in games.
They may not win 11 games again, but they won’t be a bottom 10 team either
Getting back Watson is probably the reason for that. Creeps don't usually make a team better lol
The bears just immediately jumping over the 2 playoff teams in the NFC North before even playing a game is absolutely ridiculous.
Anyone who watched a single Bears game last season would not predict a giant leap forward.
@@mikeottersoleI would predict a giant leap forward
I predict Caleb Williams will be very disappointing to bears fans that's all I'm going to say.
@@Thestorm311 Good luck. How often does a CJ Stroud come along? Maybe William's can have the same impact? Unlikely.
@@mikeottersole did you watch every bears game last year? It was bad we blew 3 games that were up 10 plus points. Caleb is a much better thrower of the football

Bears above Lions? Post-draft? LOL
Dude a idiot
Deal with it, they have better WRs and a better QB.
@@MisterMxyzptlk1972 Saying Caleb is better than Goff before he take an NFL snap is crazy.

@@chrxsprod come on now, fields was not that bad.
I agree Bears>Lions but let's not drag fields name through the mud
The panthers qb thing is outrageous give the kid a chance 😂
i mean, there's a difference between looking like a young rookie QB who just needs to be built around, and looking completely lost and over your head and physically outmatched in every way like Bryce did lol it's not just that the Panthers were bad and that's why he struggled, it's also that he was legitimately bad and that's *part* of the reason why the Panthers were so much worse than they were the season before where they actually looked semi-competent at times (once Rhule was gone lol) ... Bryce was supposed to be this elite "processor" and he struggled with vanilla concepts, not to mention he very often can't even throw a quick out with proper velocity.... small body, soft arm, didn't process much at all.... he'll still get his chance but there's no way you can watch this guy play and not go😬😬😬😬😬lol the dude literally looks like Eddy Piniero under center
@@mattcarberry368 You wrote an entire essay to say "I thought he would never work because of his size, and I was right"

Decent tiers except for the Bears and Rams tier. Way too high

@@aaronclay4665it’s actually insane to have them 7 tiers below the bengals when the browns have the better team

Nick showing his Caleb bias like he does to Trevor, it’s simple
It's why we like this show. It's tongue-n-cheek, and if he's right he looks really smart. It's all for fun. Prefer this kind of list to the standard rankings every other sports head copies.
Wildes with the “concert T-shirt from Puddle of Mudd” 😂😂😂
KC checked all boxes needed thus far
I just came to these comments for the puddle of mudd references. Thanks Wildes!
THE MEDIA DISRESPECT ON THE BROWNS IS CRAZY! 11 WIN TEAM, #1 DEFENSE, COACH OF THE YEAR, AND EVERYONE WAS HURT LAST YEAR. Keep brushing this team off 👏👏👏👏
Yep I will Brown will be Browns and Steelers and Ravens will beat you twice
Yeah, and you gave away your best QB for a guy that can't play anymore
anyone who actually watches football knows the browns are a great team!
I think QB is the issue here..your supposed starter got outplayed by the backup last year and then the backup left town...unless I missed a new QB signing, the Browns might be lucky to hit .500 this year.
@@RedMage117 honestly don’t need an elite QB to go over 500. Don’t even need Deshaun to be good. Proof is last year
I’m a Niners fan, but I have to admit the group therapy bit was really funny.
Nick says progression is not linear but is really glazing the bears this off season.
Bro whats going on with Nick and his crush on Caleb. These are still the bears we're talking about, slow it down buddy
Nick has the QB evulation skills of a turnip, so when he spots a 'cant't miss' prospect he hypes them into the stratsophere so that he looks smarter when they succeed and can say that nobody believed in that prospect like he did. It doesn't always work out, like with Trevor Lawrence.
It also helps that Caleb’s play style does resemble Mahomes and we all know how much Nick adores him.
SO TRUE I can't believe they're that high up
People said the same thing about the bengals before burrow
@@Renegade-kf8fp *before Chase
His reasoning seems sounds. The Bears won 7 games, a good QB is worth 2 or 3 wins, that should put them at about 10 wins. We'll see. As a Lions fan, I'm hoping he's a bust.
I like the bears but having them over the packers and lions is wild
Rams and Bears as the 5 and 6th best teams in the league is a joke
It’s not the rankings 😅
Hard to argue with the Chiefs on top. The coaching / QB combo is just too resilient.
Its impossible to argue the chiefs on top as long as they have Patrick Mahomes.
Veach is a huge reason as well. Playing 5D chess while other GMs are playing checkers.
QB, coach, and GM all being that dialed in is a recipe for disaster for the rest of the league
Dont forget the refs
I don’t think anyone disagrees with that lol but the Bears ? Really ? 🤣🙅♂️
Nick makes me root against Caleb and that’s unfortunate
Thank you broussard you are the first sign of reasonable thought when it comes to Caleb Williams
I truly don’t understand why Bo Nix is looked at like a scrub with literally the best numbers of all the top QBs.
Bo played 5 seasons with the Covid gap year exemption, of course his numbers are higher than 3 year players.
Because he threw far more screens and short passes than any of the other prospects.
If scouting was just looking at numbers, drafting would be really easy.
And the dude was drafted 12th overall, no need to act like he didn't get taken seriously to some extent.
Probably would have been a 2nd rounder if Denver had one, but he still is treated like a potential starting quarterback.
Bears as "party crashers" has to be one of the funniest sports takes I've heard in awhile. If anyone, Texans or Packers should be in there.
We shall see
How would the teams made the divisional round last year be a part crasher? Did you think about the title or just see rams and bears and thumb that shouldn't be right
@@samuelgaona7196 I did, thank you. Thus my response actually making sense and not being click bait. But nice try.
NFL fans are so mad about the bears it’s hilarious🤣 go ahead and tell me about their past though because them having 2 number 1’s and another rookie potential number 1 WR with a number one overall pick has been such a constant in their past! Not even mentioning any of their other skill positions which are also great and filled with depth
@@Juice-lh2bbHaving talented players doesn't correlate to automatic wins. Any non casual NFL fan will tell you that.
browns have their second best (arguably best) season in the last 25 years and y’all wanna put them on the third lowest row???
A lot of questions surrounding just how capable Deshaun Watson really is when it comes to winning come post season. His health is also a question mark.
@@edwardflores7108last year proved his health didn't matter they won 11 games with 5 different QBs. And even as bad as deshaun has looked at times he's 8-4 as a starter in Cleveland.
His last 3 full starts (2 of which on a broken shoulder) he was 66/97 (68%) 720 yards 5TD 1INT 102 passer rating. He was improving
Doesn't even include the fact the roster is loaded and stacked literally everywhere. Where is the hole in the browns roster?
@@user-vp1rl8sk2w
The hole in the Browns roster is at quarterback. Deshaun Watson gets paid too much money to look as bad or as average as he's looked for the majority of his time in Cleveland. Are the Browns a good team? Sure, but can Deshaun win them a Super Bowl? Watson's entire career says no. He has one playoff win in the post season and he's either hurt or trying desperately to play at the level he was at in Houston. In the AFC were the Chiefs and the best quarterbacks reside in, Watson doesn't measure up. Can that change in the future? It's definitely possible but for now it's completely fair to doubt the Browns when they have question marks at the most important position.
@@edwardflores7108it seems to me you completely talked passed his comment. They won without Watson, and with him they are 8-4, and his last 3 full games were pretty darn good.
If all you can say, as your comment did, they can’t have deep playoff success, then putting them as low as they are is still unjustified, which was the whole point of the OP.
@@jameswillison1527
With Watson, the Browns have very little to show for the money and the draft capital they gave up to aquire him. They have no post season wins or division titles and Watson has been mediocre without even a single pro bowl to his name. The Browns had a winning record with or without Deshaun last year. They are a good team and could win a lot of regular season games with a variety of average to below average QBs. The reason why pundits are low on the Browns is because no one really expects Watson to win them anything. The guy is only getting older, more injury prone and is years away from playing a full seasons worth of good football. He's inconsistent and it's hard to argue that the Browns would have not been better going in a different direction when it comes at the quarterback position. Up to this moment the Watson trade has been a an abject failure for the Browns and a boon to the Texans. It's allowed Houston to rapidly build their roster while the Browns are still looking to win their division and make a deep post season run. I think most people would acknowledge the Browns as having one of the best rosters in football but until they start having some semblance of success in the post season, most will just continue to write them off. Watson is under a lot of pressure next year to live up to his fully guaranteed contract, stay healthy and play to a high level given the talent placed around him. The Browns have a great roster and a two time couch of the year at the helm, so why do the Browns not get more respect from the national media? The answer is Deshaun Watson. Is it unjustified? Maybe it is, but it's not entirely without merit.
As a Bears fan, I have never been more excited to watch our offense lol
dont get too excited ya'll still have the worst coach in the league
It crazy to think the Panthers could of had either CJ or Caleb in b2b years
trust me as a Panthers fan, i was screaming before the draft last year for them not to panic and make a desperate trade..... then when they did, i was screaming for them not to use it on Bryce Young...... been saying all year how great the future would be for the Panthers if they had Caleb throwing to DJ Moore for years to come
also considering that would mean they kept the 9th overall last year where DROY Jalen Carter was picked.....imagine him inside with Derrick Brown and how much space that woulda freed up for Brian Burns, bet that ripple effect would lead to Burns resigning in Carolina instead of forcing his way out
a team with Caleb at QB, DJ Moore at WR, and one of the best d-lines in football sounds pretty good to me
instead we sold all of that (plus the main assets obtained in the CMC trade) for a QB who looks like Eddy Piniero under center
it's unbelievably painful to have watched this play out
@@mattcarberry368 I don't know how anybody in the Panthers front office still has a job.
@@mattcarberry368goddamn bro, that’s sad. Front office needs to clean house

Browns gotta prove Nick Wrong again?
Can’t believe he is falling for Steelers again.
Prove him wrong about what? They got just as far as the Steelers and the Steelers improved more than the Browns. They can battle it out for the kings of mediocrity like they always do.
I hope the browns beat KC this year.... it's Wild he put a team who won 11 games has dpoy and coachbof the year AND there starting qb and rb was out most of all season...

@@Freddie7191 he predicted the browns at 7 wins last season, and they went on to win 11 games. He picked them to finish last in the AFC north they got 2nd. The browns added depth to an already very talented O-Line and D-line they will be a good team again.
One of my favorite segments to watch each week, Nick has a knack for pointing out the obvious that few of the other talking heads will fess up with. Love his take on progression isn't linear.
Cardinals wayyy too low. Kyler was out for more than half the season last year, they added the best receiver and best rb, and added a lot of good depth. They'll be a playoff team for sure
Didn’t they only win 4 games..? That means Kyler was still below 500 when he played 😂
Cardinals gunna cardinal
I’m telling u, everyone sleeping on the cardinals. They gonna be a sleeper playoff team next szn🔥
@victorcontreras5703 The Cardinals "benched" their starters so they can tank for a good pick. They wanted to see how Kyler was hung to bounce back so that's why he played. Even without their Starting receiver, RB, Tackle, and defensive players, they still played hard. They added the best receiver and RB in the draft and added a solid DE and corner.
At least put in the “striving for above average” tier
the bears will be off the tiers by week 10 mark it down
Week 7

Anyone know why nick is a hater on the browns? Did i miss something
Idk bro he’s a firm hater of the eagles also he’s just weird
He must've thought they were the Bills... he always hates them 😂
It was because of the watson trade. Nick was a big mayfield fan and the browns moved off him for watson he has been a hater ever since. When the browns still had mayfield he actually said they were the 2nd best team in the AFC when they lost that playoff game to KC.
His dislike of Deshaun is clouding his judgement

Just a wild guess but maybe he doesn't like a QB with 2 dozen S.A. lawsuits getting the most guaranteed $ & costing his new team numerous draft picks so he can call in sick for the rest of the season. Call him eccentric!
I agree with Bru. That Bears Rams tier should be under the progression tier. Otherwise we can no longer hate on Chiefs being on top... They just are
Finally, no pushback on KC being on top. I guess two consecutive SB wins and a very solid 2024 draft will do that.

I feel like everyone’s just dismissing the fact that the Bears have the worst coach in the NFL.
They have to because it fits the narrative that Justin was the only problem last year. Caleb will be good but the head coach will be bad and will get fired, then we'll get another coaching staff who will eventually want their guy at QB. Round and round we go.
I'm a Commanders fan and I cant even be mad. I strongly believed keeping Howell and building around him was the smart move. Jayden Daniels might be our next RG3 if we can't protect him.

Brou has to be one of the most vocal Stafford haters. He can’t even give Stafford credit for winning a SB without mentioning the Tartt dropped interception.
Brou is sped, pay him no mind.
No kidding about non linear progression. Recounting the last 6 years (starting in 2018), the Chiefs have improved, improved, regressed, regressed, improved, stagnated. And we expect stagnation this year also. Truly a struggle.

Bears above the Packers and Lions is WILD. I think they will be decent no doubt. But to have them a top 6 team pre season is nuts.
Bears in the top 7 right off the rip is pure insanity
Bills below Miami is objectively hilarious. When the season ends, we will be looking at buffalo, as a 2 or 3 seed in the AFC. To have them outside the top 10 belies reality.

Can’t wait for the Bryce young receipts to cash
The Bears should be on the "Striving for Above Average" tier at best
Puddle of Mud went to Park Hill HS in Kansas City.
Just because the packers didn’t have two flashy top 10 picks doesn’t mean they didn’t improve their roster on multiple levels. You just have to pay attention.

This might be the best tiers yet and I feel like I say that all the time
I understand the progression is not linear tier for Green Bay in the Texans, Detroit's progression has been pretty obvious in the past three seasons. Those two were surprises last year, not Detroit.
I agree. That's the most stable one for me. Lions should be great this year and could battle for 1 seed. It's crazy there is a non zero chance in which the lions and jets could meet in the Superbowl 💀
He did say 1/3 or 2/3 might regress, my guess is the packers
The Colts are definitely going to the playoffs. The question for the team is, will DM supplant MPJ as the number 1 option.
Nick is so scared of the Texans and I love it ! 🤣
Seahawks below chargers and Vikings is actually wild
This dude said “The NFL is NOT linear” and then proceeded to use the 7 wins last year to say Chicago will at least win more than that lol dude dunked on his own argument
You know any argument to put the Bears that high is going to be faulty 😂
But it wouldn't be linear for the bears. If you watched bears stock it's been pretty low as of late tbh.. this would be similar to AMC stock boom definitely not the norm. Do love the ambition of nick he could be wrong very easily

Cam Ward from Miami will be the #2 QB prospect next season dude is nasty
Everyone’s talking about nicks weird obsession with the bears, but I’m wondering about his weird obsession with the Rams. Their only impressive win in their 6-1 stretch was against CLE.
although Nick is very intelligent about football... he seems like a Sith Lord of the NFL commentators!
I can see where Wildes is coming from with his take on the Bears. Last season they were only two games behind the Packers and he thinks the Bears recruits will make them a four win better team so he has doubled down with this list. What he forgets is both the Lions (they filled needs in the secondary in defence) and the Packers (a young group of players who play as a unit which means they should be improving from last season). This means that his conclusion that the Lions and Packers will not be as good or better than last year is wrong, although he is correct when he says that improvement in the NFL usually is not in a straight upward spiral.
I don't think Broussard understood the assignment
I’m glad nick not sleeping on the rams
Unless Jags just LAY DOWN all season like they did in 2nd part of season last year....Doug P aint getting fired...it would have to go REALLY bad...
As a Chiefs fan, Raiders deserve more respect than that Nick... Raiders pose the greatest divisional threat to the Chiefs this year. Putting them below the Chargers is a joke, putting them below the Broncos is Ludacris.
Nick is wrong about the lions they literally have progressed and gotten better over the last 3 years I doubt they back track right now
the bucs deserve to be slightly above average with last years playoff performance
Panthers should be up a slot
For the first time I agree
Nick saying that a Group Think is the reason the Chiefs are not Super Bowl favorites lol
Brou is right the Bears are way too hot. This league is hard for rookie QBs
Brou has faith in Brock Purdy that couldnt lead a go ahead TD in the Super Bowl but not Matthew Stafford?!🤔
Well…one made the Super Bowl, and the other got knocked out in the 1st round, right? Outside of the year the Rams won, Stafford has lost every playoff game he played in. Even with the Super Bowl season, he’s still under .500 in the playoffs 3-4. Purdy is 4-1.
Stop glazing caleb williams its getting so old. Eagles DEFINITELY and maybe even Cowboys and Dolphins have objectively better rosters than Green Bay, Houston, Chicago, LA. If this isnt trolling its insanity
