@Audham~ I do agree, but Dafoe is the kinda guy who does not care much about "awards" he truly is so grass roots in the theatrical arts in honing his craft with others in his field to inspire that I am sure is where his heart speak is at, not awards.

Everyone should go find a Dafoe movie you haven't watched that looks interesting to you and check it out. He's done so much more good work than most people know. Literally the man has made something for everyone.

Hugh is such a wonderful listener! You can tell he is really there to listen and learn. What a great quality to have, especially in this day and age.
Yeah I've been noticing that about him as well. Its one of the things I most like about him. A good quality for social development, and as an actor as well of course. Never thought to mention it. Good comment.
Both are great listeners... but I feel william is much better at it... for me listening is not saying yeah, yeah...., is to listen, and after it ..participate with something meaningfull and I realised that William is capable to do that.... not many people can do it... and I think people in general dont realise about it... A good listene for me r is the one that follows your story with empathy not just someone that listens.... but I feel people prefer the last one!
@@sergio446 On the pure basis of being a good listener, Jackman takes it for me. If you want to have a person who's good at conversation then Dafoe is the the choice for sure! However its evident that Hugh is not only hearing the words being said, he's internalizing then by asking for clarification. Something like that tells me that the person that I'm talking to is really trying to understand what I have to say.

I don’t think either is better, I think they both just happen to be great examples of different styles of listening well, and really the only 2 styles if you think about it. Not surprised with the level of quality between these two actors though

Two lovely people and amazing actors. Jackman deserves awards recognition for "Logan" in which he was terrific. Also glad that Willem Dafoe is getting strong buzz for "The Florida Project". Hope he wins the Oscar.

Btw, in an interview or two, he's talked about that he and his wife started doing meditation about 20 years ago. TM. Transcendental Meditation. He's said it's made such a huge difference in his life. Seinfeld and a couple of other actors also do it. As a result, I just googled it, and I'm looking into it. (For some reason, I think his ability to really listen to others is tied into this which is why I mention it).

Honestly, some people look good with dyed hair. Hugh’s is such a distinguished color, and how it meshes with his skin tone. And Dafoe’s is cool too. Great conversation. They come off as decent humans.

It was refreshing to hear the production of The Florida Project got to know the hotel residents and included them in the film. That the seemingly vast gulf between these two worlds was closed, for even a moment, is heartening.

Defoe crafts Acting alchemically. In each experience, each film, he facilitates his roles into a catalyst for growth, his characters develop through him in film and more importantly as a human being. That’s a great gift, true grace, it’s Spiritual. To watch both these actors work is inspirational & often emotionally elevating. Actors who are both inspiring people, truly devoted to their trade, craft and impassioned by their audiences. Im thankful to be one in that graced audience.

Seeing the comic book movie OGs talk like this I nice. Nice to see that they both respect comics. There are still some pretentious people who scoff at movies based on comics, and that will never make sense.
A good film is a good film, period. Doesn't matter if it's animated, in color, is set in space, or stars a dog. This was wonderful.
Seeing them together is so nostalgic since they're one of the reasons why comic book movies are alive. Will never forget the day in the theatre that I saw the Green Goblin getting impaled. They both deserve some recognition this year. I mean their performances in both of their films are top notch. I do not say this lightly, both deserved Oscar nominations.

This pairing was beyond wholesome. They truly understood each other and were bouncing off one other's energy. I found myself writing down a lot of what Willem said... it just hit my soul. He is very poetic, and it shows in his work.
From what I see and hear from people that have bumped into BOTH of these gentlemen and have spoken to them, they are the TWO most nicest guys in Hollywood! They have a shed load of time and appreciation for their fans and have no problems autographing, taking photos, talking etc.
I love em both and both of their lists of movies are epic!
Fun fact: I was in a movie once with Willem Dafoe called "Victory" (i had a very small role as a mid 19th century military sergeant) - Not so fun fact: I've never been able to find the movie, so i have no idea if it was even ever released, let alone see if they kept me in it.

Charming actors with great range that shows in many of their works. The Greatest showman definitely showed Jackman's musical chops. The fact that they stated about action reminds me that Willem Dafoe always did his own stunts in his action movies.

This is one of my favourites. Their personalities mix so well - something that doesn't always happen.
When Dafoe says, “Pleasure, really.” You know he means it. These two wonderfully accomplished and talented craftsmen were engaged. I wish they’d explored the terrain of camp in movies-they’re both very adept at it.

Defoe is a complete class act, I can’t stop watching his interviews. Completely authentic and his insight is incredible you tell he has a different type of understanding for the craft. What a stand out in such a humble nature.
