I don't think that would be a successful idea.
I personally went to culinary school and most of my alma mater do not have restaurants, and without having to recite statistics which are readily available most restaurants don't succeed.
Worse is; he's just a below average cook with a lot of enthusiasm for cooking but poor technique and poor results and a large viewer-base.
He should stick to this. He has an opportunity to make a lot of money while not being good at something
