They add normal Bowser's minions and not one of his generals/kids/whatever that has been shown to be passionate about this sport

SSS is far from a bad game, but it isn't better than the other M and L games. The others have just expanded on SSS concept. But honestly, it's the best Mario RPG for beginners. 7/10 game (at least for me)

I have a question, where would you rank all of the mario and luigi games, this is my list.
5. Paper Jam, Story is bad, and the paper toad missions aren't great, but the battle system is pretty fun and the card system I personally like more than the badges. Also has some really good bosses.
4. Superstar Saga, This is a classic, but it doesn't age well compared to the rest of the game, this game gets the world's and the platforming nailed, but the bosses are just okay and the battle system is good, but not as good compared to the other games.
3. Partners in Time, This is extremely fun, the bosses are creative, and I like how the baby's are used in the overworld. The bros items are fun, but I like BP a little more. The flaw is using the babies in battle, as it takes some time to get used to the attacks.
2. Dream Team, Despite the slow start, Dream team has some of the highest Highs from the series. The Dream World is extremely creative and I love the luiginary works. Also has the badges, really in depth story, and dreamy luigi adds alot to the battles, would be #1 if it wasn't for the slow start.
1. Inside Story, you play as Bowser, nothing else needs to be said, the story is well made, the battle system with bowser is extremely fun, and some of the bosses are the most creative from the entire series, the battle scaling does suck in the late game, buts it not a turn off for me. That final boss is also unforgettable.

Great vid! You should do a Mario & Luigi series vs Paper Mario series video. They are both great series and seeing them go ahead to head would be amazing!
My Ranking:
18. Piranha Bean (This isn’t really a boss, and the game doesn’t think so either, but here we are.)
17. Bowser (Tutorial Boss)
16. Fawful 1 (I know this is yet another tutorial boss, but honestly it feels a lot more involved.)
15. Tolstar (Hey look, a first boss with only one attack. NYEEEECK!)
14. Dragohoho (Another bog standard fight. Really the best part is the transformation back into Prince Peasley.)
13. Mom Piranha (This fight drags on, and has nothing special about it.)
12. Wiggler (Pretty much the bare minimum for a Wiggler fight.)
11. Hoohooros (This fight shakes things up a tad, by having the pillars you need to destroy to lay an attack on Hoohooros.)
10. Trunkle (Still better than Mrs. Thwomp. Still a fairly mid fight.)
9. Jojora and Friends (Imagine if the friend name wasn’t cosmetic… what if the fight had a better ending?)
8. Queen Bean (Hey look, it’s diet Dreamy Bowser, still a great fight even if you can cheese it with Advance Splash Bros.)
7. Hermie III (Another Dreamy Bowser, but without the main gimmick of that fight this time. Still a fun fight though.)
6. Koopalings (They got an overhaul in the remake from being standers fights in the original.)
5. Popple and Rookies (The second Bowser Fight and the Birdo fight being the best of the bunch.)
4. Cackletta (Always a fun fight and a great mood-setter for the latter half of the game.)
3. Chuckolater (I forgot how good this fight is until my most recent playthrough, using Chopper Bros, and listening to the healing jokes, and everything.)
2. Fawful 2 (One of the best penultimate bosses in the series because of its gimmick of not being able to attack Fawful until his machine overheats, not quite Antasma Level though.)
1. Bowletta/Cackletta Soul (It’s the final boss. What do you expect. It’s such a fun fight that tests everything you know about the game and pushes you towards the wall in terms of difficulty.)

Awesome video. I like the fact that your opinions are so different. I played Superstar Saga more than one year ago so I don't remember my boss ranking but for now I'd say that the only spot that bothered me was the koopalings one. Honestly, these bosses are my second favourites in the game, because each one of them has something unique about it: Ludwig's energy sphere, Morton's fireballs, Wendy's rings etc. Overall, this list is well done and it reflects my opinion. Can't wait for the next part!

Why is there only footage shown from the 3ds remake, none from the GBA original?
Its mainly because its easier to record just one game for footage instead of 2 taking twice the time to do so

Actually in the second fight against popple and rookie, when rookie is angry his fireballs are really fast (remake)

This was interesting. These sorts of collabs are nice to see because it gives the opportunity to hear different perspectives.
I have some thoughts, particularly about the ones that you two disagreed the most on.
Regarding the Koopalings, I think it depends on which version you look at. In the original they're pretty repetitive and not all that interesting. While that's also the case in the remake to some extent, it did a better job making them each at least a bit different. For example, Ludwig does a single one-hit KO attack that you must counter to win and Wendy uses rings to attack that also inflict gravity effects, which is different from any of the others. They are indeed a bit reptitive either way, but definitely better in the remake.
With Popple 3, I think I lean more towards Slashstar's line of thinking. At this point in the game the boss is too easy, especially since you have thunder bros. Use that and it's over in like 3 or 4 turns at most. Definitely my least favorite Popple fight.
Hoohooros is pretty underwhelming in my opinion. Once you have the strat figured out, he's just not that interesting. Yeah, he's early in the game, but the other mario and luigi games have proved that early bosses don't always need to be so overly basic.
Dragohoho I actually kind of like because despite the fact that he only has one move, it's actually somewhat tricky to dodge, especially if he's on the rock. They also deal a pretty decent amount of damage. Also, I find it interesting that you mentioned him not having enough HP, because he has considerably more than the first two bosses. To me, he feels like the first boss in this game that actually can put up a decent fight.
One more thing I'd like to mention is that I think the first and second Popple fights are better than both of you are giving them credit for.
The first one may not be all too interesting, but it is still relatively early in the game. I like how Popple can steal mushrooms and use them to heal. It's the first time in the game that a boss can heal. Also Rookie's fireball attacks may not be all that unique, but they do pack a decent punch. I also like how both hammer and jump defense are utilized to a good extent.
The second one may be very similar to the first, but I actually think it's a decent step up. I'm not sure if either of you noticed, but in the remake at least, Rookie's attacks actually get considerably faster later in the fight, making it so you have to rely a bit more of the telegraph to dodge with the correct bro. I do agree that they should utilize their bros moves more, but both of them are pretty cool, so I have to give credit for that. Also, I think it's a pretty appropriate difficult for this point in the game.

Why do boss concepts matter so much to you exactly
I actually love this question, so the main reason for me personally is because of it having the ability to stand out. Cause a basic boss battle will obviously have easy attacks that are kinda simple, but if they have a good concept, then it can help out the boss stand out. Same thing if the boss has great attacks
Is there footage of the second bros attack popple and rookie use?
Not in the video but I bet if you look up let’s plays you’ll eventually find it. I know there was this one where it directly compared the 2 games side by side that I think had it

The saddest part of bosses in Superstar Saga (and PiT) is that you can’t fight bosses again in the battle ring rip
That’s true honestly I wish I could with harder versions, might have made a more positive opinion on them as well
Weird video or stream idea, but in October of 2022, someone made a Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga Randomizer. Back then it was very broken, but now going into 2023 it is quite stable and I think it would be awesome if you looked into it and maybe did a video or stream about it. Maybe also help get more people playing it!
As of about 2 weeks ago of posting this comment, enemy randomization was also added. While it’s still be play tested, we are hoping to get a lot more newcomers into the scene.

Should we Consider Piranha Bean a Boss Since it only has 1 attack with Variants and has the "Come On!" (Normal Fight OST) and Doesn't Explode like other Bosses, Hell. I prefer Dragohoho Over this and it's DRAGOHOHO at least in the early bosses you have bros attacks, and Luigis Thunder Power being Strong Against Piranha Bean (I felt like this was inspired by Pokémon because Thunder is Strong Against Grass/Plant) and it would rather Be considered a Miniboss, thank you for reading me hate on this digust of. Boss I made in 2 minutes.
And there was a reason it landed at the bottom of the list lol
Plus we noticed in Shroob's previous SSS lists that some wanted Piranha Bean on there or made lists involving him, so we covered our corners.
