    There is something i would like to ask. Im not sure if gmc is going to give me provisional or full registration. Due to covid-19 there has been regulations on my internship. These regulations only shortened the time period in month-based but the content and curriculum stayed exactly the same as before because of the additional work hours and weekend calls. I will graduate on this June and i want to apply for ukfp 2023 in july. So my question is how the ukfpo knows if i am eligible or not because they are not asking for an evidence of internship? Do i need to appy to gmc before i apply to ukfp?

    Dear dr. Ivan, thank you a lot for this video. I have completed my Eligibility Application for UKFPO 2022 on ORIEL a few days ago but I feel very nervous that for some reasons I won't be accepted. For example something that is making me super anxious is that I realized that I made a mistake while splitting the scanned documents I needed to upload, so on the passport section I mistakenly uploaded the entire pdf file containing my passport scan (on the first page), the Dean's Statement (second and third page) and the IELTS certificate (fourth page). The Dean's Statement and the IELTS code were of course also uploaded in the right sections. Do you think this will be a problem? Should I send in another application form to correct this mistake? I already wrote an e-mail to the help desk but they weren't helpful. Thank you so much and have a great day!

      PLAB/UKMLA is not directly related to UKFP application. It will go on at its own method; just obtaining the GMC provisional registration will change when UKMLA starts.
      Instead of taking PLAB (because there will be no PLAB) IMGs will have to do UKMLA to get GMC provisional registration but will have to do other related processes and exams for UKFP joining as usual.

    Hi Dr Ibreez and Dr Ibrahim, I’m Lydia, an IMG from Malaysia. I graduated in December 2020 and am planning to continue with masters prior to starting my foundation.
    I’m aiming for UKFPO 2023 entry. I’ll be 28 years old by then. Is there an age limit to this?
    I’ve read online that there’s no age limit, but graduates whose degree and foundation has more than 3 years gap will be required to sit for Clinical Assessment Test. Is there any information on this?

    • @RoadToUK
      @RoadToUK  Před 3 lety +1

      If there is more than 2 years gap between UKFP starting and graduation you 'may' have to go through a test called national clinical assessment. Your eligibility application will decide whether you need to or not.

    Thank you for the very informative video. I had a question regarding English Proficiency,
    Can you also not prove English proficiency by the Dean’s letter?
    “Your Dean can confirm in the Dean's Statement ifyour primary medical qualification (including the language of instruction, examinations and at least 75% of clinical contact with patients) has been undertaken solely in English” - from UKFP eligibility guidance 2022
    And also if your medical school does not belong to the restricted list?
    So the dean just would tick the 3 boxes on the Dean’s Statement.
    Would much appreciate your guidance?

    • @RoadToUK
      @RoadToUK  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. It can be proven that way but 75% interaction with patients in English in a non-english speaking country? It's neither believable nor acceptable even if your dean says so.
      So, yeah, if you graduated from an English speaking country then by all means you can get that signed off and then no requirement of IELTS/OET.
