Can THIS make the Kinect work properly?? Nyko Zoom Lens tryout!

The last time I tried the 360 Kinect, it didn't work properly because my gaming room isn't the size of "Microsoft's vision" of a living room. However, this cheap add-on is supposed to make the Kinect work better in smaller spaces. How does it fare in my gaming room??

Speaking from someone who's played Sonic Free Riders and Kung Fu Panda 2 (both being uploaded to my channel), what I believe would've helped the Kinect is if its camera was more based on following the player. For a system that relies on moving around in front of a camera, it was kind of annoying that it felt like I had to stand in a certain spot for the best results.
This form of gameplay can be enjoyable, but the original Kinect did have room for improvement.

Hi. Great video. What sort of distance approximately were you maximum from the Kinect? (I have about 6 foot max distance from kinect available, in my son's bedroom, and just can't get it to work as standard, so really hoping the zoom lens might just do the trick), thanks

Thanks! The lens should make a big difference in that space. The centre position will change to approximately 4-5 feet away from the Kinect, still not 100% easier to initially configure and not much room behind you, but it will work well from that distance.

How did you get yours to work? After calibration, this wouldn’t work for me during gameplay.

That's strange. Is it like it's not even there? I think (I'm going from memory here) the original manual said to clean the Kinect's lenses carefully and ensure the Zoom lens lenses are flush with them. They're designed to it in the little rings around the original lenses. Not sure after that without seeing yours in action sorry.
