I understand that it's not really "All" the 3d software packages, but there are so many of them to cover, so please accept my apology
If you begin in Blender you are best to stick to it. Being free doesn't make it inferior, in fact the opposite. It is unique because it is available on all platforms including linux, and for being a respectable open source software.
I believe Houdini is also available in Linux. Blender is good but I like Houdini more, there's a sense of freedom when using it, in terms of creativity
Exactly, Blender is a revolution. And much easier to learn, with thousands of tutorials available on internet.
I never achieved anything with Blender. Zbrush is just better at sculpting.
@@OST1350well da no shat of course zbrush is going to be better at sculpting, zbrush is litterally an application designed solely for digital sculpting so it's obviously going to have better features tailored towards digital sculpting where as blender is a powerful powerhouse 3d and 2D application so blender has to improve and update a lot of there modules and can't get too them all in a single or short few updates as theres just a lot of features to focus on so it stands to reason that for awhile certain blender modules will be left in the dust or barely updated for awhile until a complete overall comes. Though I believe when blender does get a update to its sculpting module it will blow away its competition aka zbrush in say 3 major updates so probably in blender 7
@@junechevalieryup
if you ever update this you should include Rhino, its a 3D NURBS based CAD software kinda like AutoCAD but much more adept at 3D design where AutoCAD is more for 2D. It also has powerful mesh and subD tools. And its plugin Grasshopper is kinda the OG procedural modeling tool - like geometry nodes in Blender but for CAD/NURBS. Also I think BIM softwares like Revit and Archicad deserve a spot, they're used in the architecture industry
Yup. I can’t believe there are some real niche products, but no Rhino. WTF indeed.
Don't forget MOI 3D
Add catia and alias to this list
Haven't heard of a couple of these, thanks for making this!
That's so cool all the 3D software options
thanks for including EmberGen 👍🙏🔥
blockbench, wing3d, feather3d, MoI 3d, Vroid, PicoCAD, Fusion 360, cascadeur, material maker, lumion, twinmotion, rhino and more
Mari
Silo, softimage, light wave
Thanks for understanding the all the tools 🖤
Next year, apart from EmberGen, GeoGen (real-time terrain generations) and LiquiGen (real-time liquid water simulation) will be released! :D
What a time to be alive!
Unity, Mixamo, DAZ3D, MadView3D, ... and you can definitely add more to the list.
Plasticity is really an underrated gem, it integrated with blender seamlessly and has allowed me to create hard-surface models I never imagined I could. I can recommend the 30 day trial to anyone
You forgot to mention that 3ds Max is also great VFX software. It's like great overall for everything and has the power of Houdini ( w/ commonly used plugins ).
It's only good for ArchViz just because of so many renderer choices especially Corona Renderer or FStorm and so many plugins related to interiors/buildings/exteriors.
Imo the top 3 are: Houdini, Maya or Max depends what you do & Blender.
To understand 3ds Max Supremacy take a look at these:
TyFlow=VFX=🔥🔥🔥
CAT animation system=quick rigs with flexibility which can't be achieved without without scripting in custom rigs, like strechable bones💥💥💥
Kind of shocked to see World-Machine isn't on the list. :D
Modo is not abandoned. Fantastic software. Still thriving!
I have used it everyday for the past 8 years in my 3D workshop. Modo magic was not a marketing lie. Cheers.
Why do I feel that most people who talk about Blender tend to shame it for being an Alt. for people with no money, While it has tools that are enough to make powerful and stunning production (probably to erase their guilt that they paid for something as good as the FREE alt of it)
Because its not as good as others, it's that simple.
@@randomnickifyAnd why is that?
@ahellis8810 It's not as intuitive as Cinema 4D, doesn't have the high end plugin support of 3ds max by nature of the GNU license it requires, and isn't as good at organic shapes as Zbrush is. The reason why Blender isn't as good as other software is because it's an all-rounder that doesn't specialize in anything and doesn't have companies like Insydium investing a ton into developing plugins for it.
@@shamaiahellis8810 Why do you think studios use Maya instead of Blender? Maya is just better, no debate.
(I use blender)
I wish you mentioned Keyshot, which is an excellent rendering and animation package and a swiss army knife for importing different 3D and CAD formats.
If you mention CAD software like Soliworks or AutoCAD, you should also mention the even better ones like Creo Parametric, CATIA or Siemens NX!
I use blender for modeling obj
But most complete software is Houdini which includes different types of Geometry . Attribute, and ..... support USd and digital assets ,
L_system , Terrain
For rendering Unreal is best selection
Houdini Great for procedural generative stuff, but is not great a modelling or fast implementation
@@hectorescobar9450 exactly, you can't do Archviz in Houdini, for example.
Why is Blender for beginners? It can do for free modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, animation, particle sims, node based materials, compositing...something other paid sofwares can only dream of
Not for beginners, *great for beginners, because of the amount of tutorials, simple and clean interface and…, of course it’s powerful if that wasn’t the case why would i even use it myself
I have so much experience with so many software, but honestly I would not recommend Blender other than the fact that it's free with so many tools but it's not user-friendly
@@sheliad4165 How long did it take you to assess Blender. Or did you?
@@MrWannabeartist ive been learning blender for no more than 3 months. I had no experience other than pencil drawing and basics of "compositing quality art". id say another 3 months would put me in a level just beyond beginner. i don't have specific goals, im trying to "learn a little of everything" but my focus is on 3d/2d animation. so far, I have been able to study full time as I am enjoying a grant and help from loved ones. hope that helps.
@@MrWannabeartist it took me 3 months to make fun things, and one year to be good at it. Now i'm 1y and half in, and i'm rally happy of things do on it considering the short experience, still have much to learn
Forgot 'Spline 3D', which is also gaining popularity for creating web 3D.
May be next time can talk about Rhinoceros and REVIT. They are popular in the industry.
Talk?
(replay the background music, and feel the rhythm)
"Revit... is a BIM software... for architects. BIM... stands for... Building... Information... Modeling."
(A bonus)
«It's being used... not only... for 3d rendering... but also for keeping track of... all construction entities... and attributes. It can also produce... 2D drawings... as good as... if they were created in AutoCAD, ...though, in my previous video... I introduced it... as a 3D modeling software."
You didn't have to say the word "Broke"
The audience of Blender is partially correct, with the broke ones there are also the fanatics that want to throw upside down corporate :D
lmao i subscribed just because of the intro hahaha
Hahaha man amazing video !
this is a 3d software used for modeling sculpting and rendering. Bro said this line 28 times
Your voice gives me strong Danger Dolan vibes.
You knew that if you said anything about blender that wasn’t “It’s the best” you were going to get flack from the blender users. Anything that happens to you is your fault and completely justified. - A Blender User
True that 💀
Maya and max only
@@damon5350screw auto desk and their outrages pricing plans
I was gonna attack too. XD
If you are going to apply for jobs in big studios then blender isn't going to help you. It is useful if you are a solo cg artist
GAOT Bro
this is actually really helpful. thanks man
really nice video, maybe add rhino and keyshot in the video.
maya and blender are the king
how about mari, unity, mudbox and Keyshot? Not on your list.
Epic
Maya, 3dsmax ,houdini ,unreal engine ,marvelous designer , zbrush.
I was very funny that you didn't mention Unity, like and sub!
Nice but where is Rhino? 11 years of use in it and 5 years in Blender. :)
Was Embergen covered?
Which program is used for the movie pixels?
this is basically an industrial designers nightmare… i had to learn all adobes, ph ilu indesign ect, rhino, catia, sw, zbrush, ks, ect.. since we are transitioning to ai, yes i had to learn unity, coding, circuitry, even cs … the most useless is zbrush, keyshot is slowly becoming useless too since its super slow.. the best king would be blender..
Did u just call me poor🤣🤣
What’s the best software for creating UV’s?
Rizom UV
You said true i used blender and left within a week its has some awesome interface but its so much boring to navigate.😢
In the first seconds the guy just say something totally wrong! Pixar and Disney use their OWN software.
it's a common misconception that Pixar and Disney exclusively use their own software for animation. While they do have proprietary tools and software developed in-house to support their creative processes, they also extensively use industry-standard software like Maya.
both Pixar and Disney have publicly acknowledged the use of Maya in their production pipelines
Pixar has openly discussed its use of Maya alongside its proprietary software in various stages of production for movies like "Coco," "The Incredibles 2," and others. Maya is used for modeling, rigging, and certain animation tasks.
Disney Animation Studios, similarly, has integrated Maya into its pipeline. Movies like "Frozen," "Zootopia," and "Moana" have had significant portions of their animation created using Maya.
While these studios do have their own tools and software tailored to their specific needs, the use of Maya remains prevalent in their workflows, especially for its versatility and widespread adoption in the industry. This combination allows them to leverage both proprietary and industry-standard software for different aspects of animation production.
You included Autocad but didn't include Revit, Archicad or Rhinoceros?
Catia 3D,Archicad 3D
0:45 is me😂
What about Lightwave 3D? That still has a following.
Kodon!
Moi 3d my love ❤
Start of each: (“”) is a 3D software
-you don’t say
Hey what about Rhino?
If you want to make your own studio, then go with blender, because its your own studio so you dont need to care about industry standart
or just create in blender and use company software just for exporting... most people I know do it this way
rhino 3D not mentioned
whats the easieeeeest one?????????. btw thanks for the video
where is mari
VRoid for 3d anime type character creation/modeling
3ds Max is just supreme.
oof, I really wish it was finally banned by geneva conventions... The only reason it still exists is that old companies and old people in the industry force this software on others, because they dont want to learn new stuff and tweak the pipelines (that are very robust in big studios..)
@@milansvancara What is the new stuff? The industry is nothing without 3ds Max and Maya.
@@Itsyesfahad I was talking about 3ds, not a word about Maya, Maya still has a lot of niche especially in animation and so on..
But literally the only thing that 3ds is maybe somewhat better than other leading software is hard surface maybe (with plugins, and in that case why not already use Inventor??...)
It used to had some pseudoprocedural advantages but is very obsolete now and brutally inferior even to blender (even with all the plugins)...
PS: 3ds was my first art 3D software after CADs and I sadly have to use it in my workflow
3ds Max and Maya are literally the same thing just different UI and workflow but damn man it seems like you guys hate 3ds Max so much for some reason which is weird usually a blender user who just makes backrooms xD !@@milansvancara
I still use XSI :-D
fusion 360 ? and moi 3d ? col 3d ?
You left out quite a number of 3D software. Clo3D, Metahuman, Daz3D, etc. Mentioning EmberGen which i think its more of a plugin than a standalone software, you could also have included render engines
EmberGen is a standalone software.
Adobe dimension?
wheres rhino?
After This Video, I Realized I Am Poor,
As I Use Blender. 😅
It's not really "All The 3D Software Packages" their much more out but you go enough for 6:30 minutes if you really add them all may need more than this.
Modo is not abandoned.
Where is Lightwave 2023?
Sir You Forget Something About '"""""siemens nx""""""" . Which Is Use For Weapons , Industrial Machin, And Many Other Applications. Thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
yes its a 3d software we know !!!!( if u remove the "this is a 3d software" it would save at least a minute)
U did not state freecad
I think that most of his descriptions of the softwares sounded like it was read from a cheap magazine! for example: Blender and C4D are capable of almost anything in the 3d world. No offense intended!
You forgot OpenScad... 🙂 (But I'm into Blender)
Author: i gone include all 3d software
Also Author: Holy shit it's not gone fit inside of those 6 min.
Me: where the fuck is the rest ?????? 😅
dur dee dumb de durrr deee dum dee deedle dee dumb deee durrrr I give this video a 2 out of 1000
You almost lost me at your blender joke 😅
Strange how people wrongly market Blender as being for beginners.. makes it sound like is not advanced.. there is a reason why every senior games Artist and their mothers are preferring it now. It’s not because is free
Huge exaggeration, loads of senior artists that would rather use better software.
@@anab0lic such as? I have been in the games industry for 10 years now. I have friends working in big game studios including Imsomniac, Project Red and Naughty Dog who can go back to Maya after moving to Blender. I myself own a studio and our transition to Blender has been essential to how much faster we do things
@@hectorescobar9450 such as lol? MOST studious are not using blender, you are delusional if you think otherwise. Its gaining some traction and more people are giving it a try, but to say most are now using it is a massive exaggeration to say the least. Personally I found it lacking and find the paid for software worth the licence fee for what it offers that blender still lacks.
@@hectorescobar9450As someone who's been a 3d artist for the past 5 years I have encountered the fact that alot of people don't like the idea that an artist using a free software can do the same thing as an artist using a paid software. It's human nature. The exact thing can be applied to AI instead of seeing it as an extension of a tool it's frowned upon. While the younger generation adopts it and uses these tools to create Pixar level animation. A 14 year old created a scene in the spiderverse movie using blender, it says something about the artist really, just my opinion.
@@shamaiahellis8810 yeah I totally see that, I have been in the industry for 10 years now and find it sad how many ‘Elitest’ people are out there with that limiting way of thinking. I have however encountered a massive turn around in the industry when it comes to Blender. Most people I know in the games industry, use it as their primary modelling tool which would have been a crazy thought 5 years ago.
Why you had to do blender like that?
Rhinoceros. Altair Inspire Studio.....
00:43 😂😂😂😂
ngl always thought Substance Designer was a blank software that somehow did something.
3DS max is a 3D software wow 😂😂😂
Is it not true?
3ds max is best software for visualization and modeling and in game industry and also most popular in the industry software Ubisoft use 3ds max and rockstar also use 3ds max
I think DAZ3D should be in that list too.
There is no Rhino3d
you forgot sfm
Blender is the GOAT!
"Blender is a 3D Software which is used by BROKE PEOPLE who cannot pay"....SHAME ON YOU.
Blender is not for beginners, it is quite complex. You messed up.
I think he means great for beginners because of the amount of tutorials available compared to other software.
Faltou OCTANE RENDER
You forgot Clarisse, Daz3d, Poser 13 and Cascadeur.
Ah yes, Blender Brats. flatearthers of 3d community that have to whine in every 3d related video.
Lol who is whining, you sound hurt
You forgot Metashape Agisoft, Daz3D and Unity.
Mb something else.
Cool vid anyway
I don't quite get the claim 'Modo is abandoned', it is a great peace of software and is very much alive, you should do your research away from CZcams noobs.
real flow is missed
Modo is currently in development with major and substantial improvements to its core architecture. Wouldn't it be better to inform yourself WELL first before making this kind of informative video? Very bad.
i am the 1000
