@hjf4a2 You really haven't been paying attention. You should look up an actual list of the mainstream movies and shows it has been used in. You don't know what you're talking about. I have been following Blender's use in mainstream films and shows for over a decade, and major market productions use Blender. There are some shows that are made using Blender exclusively!

And in the statistic which studio uses blender, just says if they have it installed. Most of the time you don't have render farm support and nothing, because blender is unfit for Big production.

In professional environment, there is no such thing as best software, you use whatever software to get the job done. People don't realise when you are working in a company you are not exercising any creativity rather just completing projects to the clients standards through tight deadlines. So any software that can do the job quicker they use.

There's no best software per se. When you're an independent professional freelancer, a professional just wanting to train at home or a hobbyist you use whatever gets the job done for your workflow and learning purposes.
When you're a professional working in different studios you remain agnostic and use whatever the studio uses in their pipeline. You have access to many tools that are not available out in the wild and a large render farm to get your tasks done

Blender has come a long way in a short time, and new add-ons have come along over the last year or less which give it the ability to compete with industry standard programs in many ways, especially in broad capability. That one FREE program can do the job of several industry standards, and from what I'm hearing from the pros, it's certainly already been beating many of them in the sculpting and workflow department even before the last few years of growth. Over the last year I've been watching pros SWITCHING more and more because it's more stable, reliable, easier and more efficient now than many of the industry standards while delivering pro quality graphics.
