I really don't get why Lee resorts to personal attacks at the fans who decide that Arteta has done well and should be congratulated for a really good and happy season. He keeps referencing Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Man utd who we smashed Highbury for but totally forgot that the amount of money the likes of Chelsea, Man city brought took the wind out of the sail for Arsenal. All these teams have invested over twice what we have done over the last 10 years. We're finally getting there, the gaffer is putting in the grind and the players are maturing right, then we get second place but we should sack arteta for making the mistakes amy young manager would make in about 6 games all season??? Even the Guardiolas and Ancelottis make mistakes, not least Arteta. I hope this standard is how Lee holds himself in his personal life, where you stay damn near perfect all through. Getting the sack for any man is rough, getting sacked from giving ur best for a club and getting second to that mega rich Man city at the end? That's tough, but hey, in Lee's world, no mistakes whatsoever from anyone, all has to be perfect.

But sacking Arteta because he got second behind this City team, and that's by maybe 4 or 6 points at the end with a probability of having between 84 to 90 points? That's way below the belt. My point is he's young and has been backed, the team's performance over the course of this season should not be a basis for his sack.

Hardly a great expose, the real tale of the tape this season is that we bottled the league. Wish the fans would stop playing the whole "we were in a title race" card, finishing second is the same as finishing 4th. Arteta will have next season and the pressure will be on to convert a trophy or two. Summer transfer window will be interesting, as we'll see if we continue to sign projects like Fabio Viera or if we invest in proven talent.
So if fans like yourself didn't believe from the start that your team would be going be close to be in as good position as the infact have been for basically the whole ( Over ninty % of the season) then Who are you to speak about bottling anyway?.
