Easy answer really. He realised that negativity no matter what, produces content to get people from both sides to tune in and either agree or disagree with him. The more negative he is the more extreme the reactions from both sides are and the more attention you get. The more attention you get, the more views and therefore more ad revenue. As the saying goes; "There's no such thing as bad publicity". He obviously enjoys being the "bad guy" and all the attention it brings 🤑

The problem with Lee is that there’s an excuse with every contradictory statement that’s made. I used to watch the guy regularly but there’s been a clear change in his demeanour and view over the pay few years, he was so genuine before.
Maybe the CZcams money made more sense when he projected negativity I don’t know.
He’s never wrong and is always right. And regardless of how long he’s been a fan of the club or how big his following is because of his views he needs to understand he ain’t a celeb and that “notoriety” doesn’t mean his knowledge of the club or football in general is above anyone elses.
Theres an excuse for every trophy we lose i don't understand this oomment at all. Last Season was top 4 and europa league we get top 4 and bottle the EL and thats ok because we came second. Just because we are in for a trophy doesn’t always mean we will win it, Manchester City are the best team in the world too and none of us were expecting to even come close to first place at the start of last season. No offence I’m not questioning you love for the club but if you’re complaining about the lack of success (in a league which is considered to be the hardest in the world and includes the current best team in the world with the best manager in the world) then it may be best to just look at another sport.
This club has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years and I’m not about to throw my toys out the pram because we aren’t winning immediately, I’m in complete love with my club again and Mikel has made that happen. When’s the last time we’ve had a starting 11 without there being a portion of players we were keen on. Not to mention we are retaining our best players and they’re all still so young.
Back the manager and the players and enjoy the football we are playing, if you aren’t capable of putting up with the bumps in the road then arsenal of all teams definitely isn’t for you.

I always struggled with the difference between 'fan' and 'supporter'. Thanks to Lee now I know, and FYI, Lee is a fan not a supporter. Lee has a Roman Ambramovich attitude to running a football club. This is why Roman wanted Chelsea to win because he equated Trophies to success. If the manager did not win stuff he was gone within two or three years. Lees expectation is completely unreasonable. Based on his logic, because it's impossible for all the big clubs to win a trophy each season, and highly unlikely that they'll each challenge for titles every couple of years, that means he'd expect managers to get sacked every couple of seasons.

What he's saying is the top four clubs as a minimum should all be winning trophies.
He's not saying that every one of them can win the same titles at the same time, he's saying that if they can't win one, they should be able to win the other when the other team is positioned to win the one they now cannot.
Between them, they should be taking the league title off each other every few seasons, or at least look like they're capable of doing it.
We shouldn't be in a position where one team is literally dominating the league by a huge margin every single season when we have four clubs who are roughly a similar size to each other, that means the other three clubs are likely being mismanaged.
Why is that so difficult for fans like yourself to understand????

Buried this football club?! The stadium and that team was off of what Arsene and David Dein had worked for. Lee does not understand Arsenal, historically we are the third biggest club in the country. Liverpool went decades with out a league title. Arsenal have picked trophies up, but aside from the 1930's, we have NEVER dominated ANY period in football history. We competed with the 80's Liverpool and the 90's United. No fan can expect trophies, you can only expect your club to COMPETE.

Lee is saying managers should get sacked when they don't win any major trophies (PL or CL) and the smaller trophies (Carabao or FA Cup) bides the manager extra chances to win the major honours. The CL and PL are like a full restore, win one of those and you get all your hp back whereas the Carabao/FA cup are like potions with diminishing returns which restore your hp a bit. If you look at City and Chelsea over the last 20 years , both dominated the prem at some point, both won champions leagues, both won trophies almost every year. While switching managers left right and centre (especially Chelsea).
How do rival fans, just sit there, watch this happen and decide to give a manager time? Trust the process? No we are okay with 4th and last 16 and last 8 in the CL . How do you guys just accept this?
I celebrated my team winning a trophy almost every year , while other fans are happy with mediocrity. And yes Chelsea and City spend money (" dont have history ") blah blah blah, but this is the Premier League, every club has money. The Arsenals, the Liverpools and the Uniteds have money. They just dont want to spend.

There has been no club other than man united who can compete with the finances of chelsea since 2003-2004 and city since their takeover. The money that has been invested in these clubs has been 10x than Arsenal for example.
Arsenal only recently spent a bit and even that was over 4 years. Chelsea spend 2 times more in a year already. People talk about net-spend without realizing how much investments chelsea city make, they have so much talent in their academies and first teams/bench that they can sell for much higher than the likes of arsenal liverpool spurs etc.
And hence it is not sustainable for Arsenal/Liverpool/Spurs to work the sack and change approach regarding staff and managers. We need stability and a long term plan to compete with your oil money clubs. Anyone who knows how finances work and what these clubs are up against will totally agree with this. Chelsea just took away a player from Arsenal who was prioritizing a move to them (Mudryk) because they had a bigger financial muscle. Even small numbers matter.
Man united tried the sack and change approach and massively failed for most parts, Chelsea have done the same and never reached the levels of man city but thats only because city have had a better ownership whilst chelsea under roman were just about short term winning. Long term is always better but the finances available and how they are used determines the success of the clubs.
If by your logic Arsenal sack and change every year it will ruin the whole squad balance, to pay new managers high salaries, to change players like clothes which Arsenal can not simply do. To change staff all the time and change playing styles under different managers, this will ruin the whole club. This can not be done without significant financial backing. I speak for Arsenal cause i am a fan but this applies to all well run clubs, you need stability.

And the problem with short term coaches are, your clubs buy players for coaches, not for the club. Drogba. Lampard, terry and those guys had 4 different managers and under each manager the squad basically stayed the same and still won cups.
So instead of having the excuse that "we can't compete with oil money" , the owners of the "BIG 3" should start looking at those models and adapting them.
Everyone had 15 years to do what Chelsea do and maybe better coz there are flaws in what we did. City came along, looked at that model, adapted it, made it better and now they are a power house. What did the other "big teams" do, complain complain complain. While everyone is complaining, Chelsea and City are building.
And going 30 years, 20 years, 10 years without a league trophy should upset any fan of "a Big club" , but no what do you guys do? Fight amongst each other about harvertz , other players, should we keep this manager, when are we gonna win a trophy, blah blah. Start looking at your owners and ask them why can't they do what Chelsea and City are doing. Newcastle also adapted Citys model, and look whats happening there. They made top 4 last year.
Long term planning only, doesnt help if you need to win trophies. Football is about who lifts the cups the end of the season, not who has better long term plans.

If you’re constantly losing because teams are outperforming you, no matter how well run they are, somethings got to change in order to win. So in the example where there are 5 amazingly run clubs, if your team never wins because they always get outdone by one of the other 4, something still has to change because that’s still not acceptable.

Where are some of them now? Elneny is still in that team but Balogun is sold, Tierney is gone when Timbers is injured for whole season, and Zinchenko and Tomiyasu are injury prone. Wasted money on players who didn't make us stronger. Now he bought a Chelsea flop Kai Havertz for 65million pounds when Maddison was available for less. To accommodate him he now plays Partey at RB and Gabriele hugs the bench, there goes our defensive solidity. I have a reason to be upset this past three years he has been tinkering. He is not Pep and should be himself. This season you will see the squad will still be thin with 600million dollars spent.

Lets just cut to the chase. Lee Gunner isn't a very nice person, and he gets off on attacking anyone who has a different viewpoint to himself. A classic example is Charles Watts, just about the most inoffensive Journalist that you could ever meet. And yesterday, I did just that after purchasing his book. Charles pulled a lot of Gooners through the lockdown year, with his daily content and has built a following that Lee could only dream of. Why is that? Because Charles is humble, polite and respectful of other Gooners. Lee clearly has a lot of issues, he knows he would get a hard time if he ever returned to the Emirates Stadium and quite frankly we don't need him there.
