    Yup stainless is definitely the way to go for saltwater

    I get all my hardware, stainless or whatever from McMaster Carr

    You'd think Kawasaki would build a salt variant with some of these simple things already built in. I'm thinking about the filter and the other stainless bolts you mentioned in the vid.

      The ski would be too expensive..People want plastic hulls made in Mexico, not fiberglass and gelcoat hull with stainless hardware..sad but people don’t want to spend the money for quality…that’s why products produced in Mexico and China outsell domestically produced products..cost

      @@JDsWaterWorld Ahhhh so it's better to continually buy plastic crap over and over instead of buying quality once. Got it.

    @jd’swaterworld nice so you recommend to not use loctite anywhere on the ski ? Do you use ?
    Thanks

      See this is a challenging question..the factory does recommend lock-tite in various places, but with heavy salt water riding you want to focus moreso on anti-seize because the salt water itself will generate corrosion which seizes bolts in-place.

    How often do you empty/clean the oil catch can?

    • @JDsWaterWorld
      @JDsWaterWorld  Před 4 měsíci

      It’s not really a “catch can” in the sense it actually reconstitutes oil and returns it to the crankcase ( I always call it a catch can) it’s more of an “oil separator” so it doesn’t have a reservoir that holds oil..but that being said I do clean the “yogurt” out of it every time I do an oil change and clean out the lines..I should probably do a video on that !

    Please avoid grading in HDR; it annoys and is too bright, especially when watching at night.

      Nope, sorry! But I suggest contacting Kawi Performance in NY if you are up that way, or Riva Motorsports if you are down in South Florida
