Picked up a status 140 from a dealer 1.5hrs away bc none were in stock near me. Right away had problems with the dropper post not wanting to go down. Took it to a local Specialized dealer and got a lot of push back about submitting a warranty claim…. They tried to tell me it was normal. Eventually had to pay them $30 to “process” the claim for me. 3 weeks later, the dropper is back (and better but still not perfect) but my first experience with the brand and their retailers was a huge turn off.

I ordered the same bike. Buying another bike wasn't even on my radar, but at that price, I couldn't help myself. Mine took about 3 weeks to arrive and I did have to call a couple times to get any updates. The digital shock pump was a nice touch, but I didn't get a bottle cage. Also, my box was WAY different than yours. Enjoy your new bike! I'm still waiting for the Vermont snow to melt...

That's interesting that it came packed differently. I was super impressed with how mine came. Best bike shipping I've seen.

How long was it from order to delivery. I just bought one Friday morning and am super excited. It's my first mtb, though I do have a moto background.

It did take a bit. I think maybe 2 weeks? My understanding from customer service is that they do the final build here and they are (were) a bit behind because they have been selling a lot of these bikes lately.

Is the frame protection enough or should I get more for it?

I'm not sure what that means.

@@EverydayMTB I think he meant the two extra headset spacers in the small parts box.

@@ldtriplesix I had a brain fart when I pulled those out and didn't recognize them 😂. But yes, those are headset spacers. I see what the OP was guessing their now.
