Removing a 22RE | Samantha Vlog 2

- Today we removed the 22RE engine from Samantha along with some other components. This was a major step in getting Samantha ready for this overall because I am planning on extending the frame so I can push the axle forward. I wanted to remove the engine so that I can properly clean up the brackets that were going to cut off and give me room to do proper welding.

Man, the possibilities here. Crazy to have a bare frame. Drivetrain lift. 4 link rear. Etc, etc. Awesome project.
This is going to be fun!
@@SnailTrail4x4 man I wanna hear the plan! Or you still winging it?
@@DeformedDevices -- A bit of both. Trying to figure out if I'm 3-linking the front. Thanks my hurdle
@@SnailTrail4x4 you gotta have friends at Ruff Stuff by now. Doooo itttt!!
Great work fellas. Excited to see it finished up
Thanks for the encouragement
Really interested I seeing how this is done. I recently went out and bought 2 yotas to play around with on the ranch...and a 3rd (2wd to 4x4 sas) to turn into a daily driver.
Thanks for making this series. Im too old and lazy to read through endless forum threads.
I'm going to do a few things that you might not need to do, like extending the frame, rotating the steering box, and probably more. But the theory is all the same.
Awesom process.
Thanks!
Good shit man I’ve been a big fan from the beginning. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! Appreciate the support
If you wanna set the front axle out farther forward get a set of Toyota 4x4 springs and put them in backwards to the way they install on the back and it will set the axle forward 3-4 inches
Interesting, setting the front axle out further would increase the turning radius tho
I never heard about flipping them around but I was going to use rears up front.
Doug, moving the axle for allows you to put larger tires underneath the rig that can still turn without having to modify the firewall
I’m ready for more videos bro!! Been waiting for you to continue this one for a minute now!
More to come!
