I'm with you, that album is perfect from start to finish. Valkyrie Missile is such a fuckin great start to the album. This is my favorite song off that album for sure, but only by a very slim margin because every song is so solid. Something about the ambience and atmosphere of that album is unlike any other album.. every song makes you feel a certain emotion unique to that particular song. So yeah, haha, I 100% understand how you feel about this album.

I have been a blink fan for my entire life. This album hands down had the most impact on my life (and I'm not an emo or ex emo who is now a hipster) good for Tom getting out there and putting down raw, emotional angels and airwaves music. Good Shit Tom!! JESUS THIS IS GOOD. LISTEN TO IT

Another thing, they tend to lower the key when they play acoustic aswell. Really helps him to sound more consistent. A lot of his best vocal effort are on slower and maybe even acoustic songs too, Anomaly, Invisible Parade etc..
They are a full step down here and it still sounds like there’s a fair bit of post on his voice you can hear it level out. I’m a big fan of the guy but his best work is in the studio

vocals are also definitly a day to day thing. the chords are in different thickness and lubrication and warmed up depending on not just the hour but. the minute. haha. i thin he doesnt sound his best in this video. but non of these style live ones sound good. lol. i saw him live that year with say anything and he sounded fckin on point. as a classmate made fun of me at the show for. we moshed to AVA like it was slipknot (we were from and in Iowa at the time)

@okineedoxygen It's called a Cajon derived from El Cajon which is it in spanish. When the Africans were brought as slaves to South America they didnt have the kind of resources they'd have had to make djembe drums and congo's and all like they had back home,so they used what they had and made this "drum box" the cajon :) Most of them have Snare wires in them,that's why they sound like a drum,some of them also have kinda bell-like shaker thingy's in them too which makes a slighty different sound
people,don't now if you have already realized this fact that lots of riffs of different songs from AVA come from one song: Down by Blink 182.These are Do It For Me Now, The Adventure, Secret Crowds.I mean the main riff.
@EzAvABlink whats funny about that is, the Taylor guitar that Tom is playing was created in El Cajon, CA which is part of San Diego County where Tom is from. Taylor guitars are made in a bad-ass factory in El Cajon where other artists like Jason Mraz and Dave Matthews have designed their own signature models. I think Tom should design one also.
