ava has changed the way I look at the world and the whole galaxy and space. He made me be kinder and not selfish toward others and to be myself. I know I'm 26 but Ive dealt with alot of self hate, 5 year heroin addiction and alot of other psychological issues hidden within myself my whole life. Tom and AVA has helped me tremendously. I literally couldn't of made it through cold turkey two separate times if it wasn't for the adventure keeping my head up.

They should just do it like they did here, lower the key of the songs so he can manage to sing them. Anomaly from Dreamwalker is a great example of that aswell, he sings really well on that tune without any special effects ;)
Tom isn't 20 anymore. lol his voice matured, just as he did. And the songs he sings now, and the voice he sings them in, it's all just perfect. If he sang these lyrics with his old Blink voice, it just wouldn't be as beautiful.

I started out playing blink songs, and now I'm mastering them! I can finally play guitar well enough to do it in front of people. I feel amazing when I play guitar, and I think Tom helped me pick my career...

Will G AOL pitch corrects his voice a little, but who cares, everyone does. That doesn't mean he can't sing. Those small corrections just makes the performance seem completely perfect. He still sings very good here, if he didn't you would hear a LOT more corrections ;)
+Will G to use pitch correct you have to project your voice very very well. Auto tune wont make you perfect singer. It will just make you to sing in key but not to sound good.

I think the reason why Tom sounds pretty decent here is a couple reasons 1) AOL probably used some autotune on his vocals, even if it's a little bit. 2) As others have stated, during concerts he's been known to be intoxicated, during this performance he's likely sober and has the ability to hold a note during his sober state. 3) It's an acoustic performance with no crowd likely in a room with great acoustics to get the best sound from the band.

To the people who are hating, Tom was in his early 20's when you all first heard him sing, now you're looking at a man in his mid 30's so you can only expect a difference in voice and performance. 16 years can change and should change allot. The "old Tom" is the same Tom just grown up, so try and enjoy it for what it is. :)

he uses an effect pedal on his voice.. a few. If you saw the making of his album. his voice is tracked over 18 times. That mixed a vocal corrector. is how you make toms voice on blink. On angels and airwaves its the same but with tons of reverb and now he gained an accent some how
His voice is directed to a PA system to a 24-track recorder. If it's auto-tuned, Tom will put some reverberation to it as to what he did starting from Enema of the State.
