You know what I love about Rusty? He is actually really verbal with his fans makin CZcams channels showin how to kick ass and take names on the guitar and he just seems like that guy you want to know.
He is verbal but not for your hormones.
My God, his alternate picking chops are so sickeningly fast, it's almost inhuman! Props for the cool harmonizer effect throughout the solo.
Just spectacular! Brutal and beautiful.

I've taken lessons from Rusty in person. He's the real deal, nothing fake about anything he does. Every note is based in music theory.

The tracking on that harmonizer is awesome!!! Is coming from the rack behind him? Is it a fractal? Maybe a pedal. Wish I could find out.
i LOVE how there are all these heads and then in the right side of the screen you see a Fractal Audio Axe FX haha I am pretty sure that is what it is. lol

Just when I think my skills are getting where I want them, I get a Rusty Cooley facepalm and go back to the woodshed. awesome guitar player. BTW, that Axe-FX tracks pretty friggin' well. He was flat-out blazing through some of those passages and it tracked with no cut-out.

He's not using any amps, he's using the Fractal Axe FX you see to the right of the screen. I know that because he used the same patch when demoing it
what i find crazy about rusty cooley is not only is he the fastest ever but u can here every note at those speeds!!! amazing bar usage too!! rc supercharged with nitrous is more like it

That's sort of like my story. I used to take lessons at a place in Kentucky called Buddy Roger's back in the late 80's when Pat O'Brien from Cannibal Corpse taught there. I took lessons from a guy named Eric Cook though.

Yea, he's playing with a harmonizer. I love using my Digitech Whammy pedal's harmonizer settings to get a similar sound. I think it's harmonizing 4ths or 5ths here, not just an octave effect ;)

I used to take lessons at the same music store in texas! I think its the same one anyway....it was a long time ago. I didnt take lessons from Rusty tho, it was from the bigger/fatter guy named eric. Ring a bell?

John Holmes Rusty is a master of technique and precision, he isn’t meant to write common sequences like a Van Halen, Hendrix or Page. He’s in the god tier of what guitarists can achieve if they truly dedicate their lives to the instrument. Sorry his musical genius is beyond your comprehension. Besides, this is a demonstration of raw skill and talent. So calm down, he’s just out of your universe of understanding.
