One thing I love about shredders is that they rely mainly on their hands not using using pedals or abusing the whammy bar. But using the whammy bar when they know what they're doing for example Allan Holdsworth used his for passing tones.
I just got his DVD and is very interesting , I will recommend it for everyone not only for shredders, If you want to learn and understand more about electric guitar , get it.
Just ridiculous. I'm a fan of all the greats, Satriani, Vai, Becker, Malmsteen etc. But I really think that Cooley is the most technically amazing of all. Or at least the fastest if anything, his sweeping arpeggios are second to NONE. The only other guy that can compete with this type of shredding has to be Michael Angelo. And yes, it also has to be shredding that makes "sense" and sounds good, not just like random madness. That if anything may be one of the only areas slightly lacking
The guy has chops for miles. Amazing. But I gotta say, I can't stand the sound he has here. Too fuzzy and "pushed". Small dislike, though, when one considers this guy's crazy monster shred abilities.
it makes me sad that 257 people disliked this, i dont know why, it must simply have been stupidity. because who isnt impressed with that and how would you find it inless you were looking for a shred god. they simply must have looked it up just to dislike it
After like 10 years of playing and listening to guitar riffs like this, it gets old. It's kind of boring to hear people shred because everyone in metal does it. Break the meta, do something else.
Tabs? lol jk
Rusty is actually Chuck Norris.
He's so awesome he doesn't even need a strap!

You have four speeds. Starting from the slowest working to the fastest, you have, slow, medium, fast, and rusty cooley.
i can do that. someone hold my beer

the fuck
He kind of IS God.
This sounds like shit, but I think the tone is the problem, not the guitarist.
