- Here's an example of a 6 tone mode shape from my Rock House Method dvd Fretboard Autopsy 1. It's the mode minus the 7th. This is a pretty cool way to start getting more linear with your guitar playing. www.rustycooley.com

wow! thanks alot Rusty! You have no idea how much this has helped me out. Cant thank you enough!
Thank you Rusty for opening my mind!
I have Level 1 and I love it. I am slow on learning it, but the DVD is helping.
Thanks for all the Help Rusty.
Just ordered the 2 DVDs!
Thanks dude! After I watched this video, I realized how to move these major shapes up the fretboard like it's nothing. Now I can finally shred with something other than pentatonic scales. haha. \m/
This is extremely useful...and not to mention simple!
you are the best Rusty!!
i really like the way he explain it.
@Bifrons Yes, his guitar is tuned a half step down (I tried to play too).
@blackseeds666 legato means that it's (usually) not picked
Are you tuned down a half step? I noticed on the Locrian pattern you mentioned starting on the 14th fret. I'm playing it on the 13th. Either you're tuned down or I've got old-timers. Great lesson, BTW.
@Kiejzo well, for a beginner it's hard anyway. maybe not for intermediate to advanced players.
hey rusty
one question: do you pick the descending legato notes?
i always have some problems with descending those notes with legato
thanks
2010!
Rusty seems like he would be like the nicest guy ever.
He is very down to earth and humble . And a beast on the guitar
when is the mahogany rc7 gonna be out?
Great stuff I learned the L trick to get to octaves but didn't know how to use it tell now 2 thumbs out.
