#mogulmail #ludwig #esports
Just so you know, the team formerly known as CLG Red compete in Game Changers Valorant which I heard you referring to as a women's tournament, its actually a tournament for under represented genders which is why NB's such as KeenC of EG also compete. Its not major, but inclusive language is always good :)
appreciate the correction 🫡
@@MogulMail keep up the great work and it’s cool to see you recognizing and respecting different peoples identity

hi
there's only 2 genders
Ludwig becoming a esports owner while esports starts going downhill feels like cod timing
I wouldn't say Esports is going down. A lol streamer said that the CLG slot sold for about 10mil. For not even 100% of the stakes, so as long as there are buyers, orgs selling their spots isn't bad in itself.
@@philz.1521 thats fair to say. I would say that esports would be in a worse state than berore
He’s in the position sypherpk took as fortnite fell off. There will be a vacuum that needs to be filled
If you follow LCS you would know that these downfalls are well deserved, for how lazy these teams are, First they are not connected with their fanbase, No content creation or events, And They dont focus on home grown talent, They hire koreans to carry the team and that Can be pretty boring if youre a fan
@@boggersegg6237 Yeah for sure, its not the best time to invest in esports and a lot of uncertainty aswell. But a lot more behind the scenes stuff and financial data of teams would be needed to see how bad things really are.
Bold of ludwig to assume that Charlie doesn’t have 11 million dollars of yu-gi-oh cards alone
Who's Ludwig?
Who's this ludwig guy you speak of?

Mogul Mail real name leaked?!
Imagine if he pulls The One Ring in the LOTR collaboration expansion, which is the only copy of that card ever to be printed.
Ludwig should invest more into NFTs so it’ll die faster
lol i don’t think anyone can help that die faster 💀😂
True, he should buy my lightning cap red sunglasses iced braces bored ape off me so that NFTs would die faster.

Shit, how will they recover from this heavy loss
Ludwig not only joined esports when it's going downhill, but he seems to be determined to speedrun his org's bankruptcy. Respect
The fact that "Its so hard not to help them" and corporations are capable of doing it to literal millions of people every month is sadge
It's a sign of the times. Money is leaving Big Tech quickly, which seems to be an early indicator for tough times ahead. On the up side, since major companies are going to be more strapped for cash, we might hopefully get some new players that can't be bought out by Google and Facebook for 8x times their worth and then stripped of all innovation
Edit:
About the layoffs, yeah it sucks, but it does make a lot of sense. The US has been fiscally mismanaged for the past half century and never properly recovered from 2008. Money was cheap and interest was low, which meant that (and I'm mostly talking about tech companies here) companies could take out cheap loans and cheap investment and rapidly expand their labour forces as long as there was user-growth, even if it was not profitable. A company could get by just by having users, even if it made a net loss.
So now that these companies can no longer just float by on investments and actually need to focus on profit centres a lot of people had to be let go.
This isn't happening because tech corporations mismanaged their finances, this is a failure of monetary policy by the US government for the past 2 decades.
@@jakepotter5962 crazy, didnt ask, we all know the world sucks
@@CrunchRoseythis is so unnecessarily rude.
@@saibudaraju2103 I do my best
@@jakepotter5962 some of it is definitely do to tech companies that are not and sometimes have never been turning profits along with tons of other reasons. Monetary policy one of the reasons but certainly not the only.
Thank you for taking on CLG red. I've been a fan of CLG for years and was devastated when I learned the org that I had loved since 2014 was going away. It really sucks cause CLG was doing a bunch of exciting stuff in the future especially with Fighting games that I personally have a lot of interest in.
Once they drop the retard gay pronoun gender shit then people will take them more seriously
I love this announcement. I'm coming back to esports right now! Shout out to HotshotGG
I have been a fan of CLG since the beginning so the news is heartbreaking. Hotshot was an absolute innovator and League or Legends wouldn't be where it is without him and CLG. It's a shame franchising forced him to sell and esports just isn't profitable enough for MSG to want to do right by CLG. Wish the best for all the former players and staff. This news really just came out of nowhere.
At least we'll always have the memories of cheering for CLG ❤️ thanks for help CLG Red out, Moist!
this is the best time to be a supportive pillar of the Esports industry
that's absolutely awesome, really love how you're supporting the esports scene and the womens team in valorant. I root for esports to come back and following along on how it can continue to stay alive.
This is very nice, glad to see people with influence actually helping the communities they love
The small window above the recommended videos on the sidebar that shows your current livestream, while a cool feature, NEEDS to have an option to disable by default. I live in a rural area with shitty internet and having a live stream playing while I'm also trying to load a static video is terrible for my bandwidth.
so nice of y'all to foster CLG until they can find a good home :)
Nice of you to help out the CLG Red team. Amazing group if players. Hoping the rest of the org lands on their feet soon too.
Lud being real here just subscribed I love cr1tical´s content but I don't really follow e-sports I think you guy should do introductory content to e-sports and I don't mean watch parties. Love the passion and how you guys treat the players. Hope E-sports grow like they should soon to have a healthier scene
I'm a big fan of how the title and thumbnail changed from "These rumours could kill esports" with a Photoshopped tweet to "We need to talk about this" with a random image from the video. The dedication to transparency and forwardness in advertising is clear to see!
thats actually awesome you are helping out imma deff buy some moist merch i love what you guys are doing
I don't know why I let Ludwig decide what things I should be informed about😂
I was here when the title was “these rumors can kill esports”
i think changing the title in the first hour somehow boosts the algorithm i think... sends more notifs idk... but Lud does it always
Dude the vague titles are so annoying bro
the transitions and segues between each topic is truly legendary
that first frame from the thumbnail to a smiley face, gold Jerry.
I've seen so many people (mostly FGC) talk about this that I legit thought I've watched this video before.
Either way - very cool of you to sign the team for now.
find them a home makes it sound like youre running some sort of kill shelter for esports teams
There needs to be structured minor leagues for league. Maybe you won't be able to support yourself but you should have the opportunity to have a single A team all the way to the show.
it's a shame what's happening with esports... even e3 😔
RESPECT to Lud for at least helping the CLG womans Val team✊✊✊even if it's just for this tourny
15 takes is the most I've seen on this channel so far; everything good today, Mr. Mail?
I have been a fan of game changers (the series CLG Red competes in) for a while, I've made a lot of friends there. GC Is such a vibrant and lovely community because of what it represents and who it uplifts, we get a lot of shit because GC has a lot of drama but god damn do I fucking love the players and teams and it was heart breaking thinking CLG Red might go. Please please please do some much or something for them, even a mouse pad or pin or something small, just so the fans can support them before they move on to a more permanent home. Much love to lud for taking in CLG Red during tough times, I hope it gives them the stability and drive to challenge SR, EG, V1 and all of them this year and to Toast, who took some shit for making his GC team but ultimately brought so many more eyes to it.
Women and other marginalized genders have such a tough time already in the gaming space it sucks that soulless corporations screw them the same.
man i remember watching hotshotgg videos about nidallee, i was a huge fan of him and fan of clg till couple of years ago. Real nostalgic kinda. Sad it didnt work out at the end. :(
“the last thing that grows on the fruit tree is the fruit” the goodwill and moves in esports will pay off for moist. i think it’s a future industry with lots of growth potential. it’s a tough economic situation at the moment in 2023 and not everyone can weather the storm.
every time ludwig needs to advertise a moist moguls thing he creates a problem in the esports industry so that he can make a mogul mail on it and throw the ad in there somewhere
Watching this after seeing MLE clutch in the valorant tournament is so awesome
I think esports is capable of being a televised thing but it comes down to the people who work on it. Gaming tournaments bring insane moments just like a televised sport. Who ever loves gaming has potential to run a great esports if they have the money for it.
Ludwig: I'm an eSports owner now.
The eSports Industry to its friends: Aye, watch this.
Soon all esports teams will amalgamate and be consumed into the MoistMoguls-MXM-CLG-NRG-TSM-FaZe SuperTeam.
I feel for the people at CLG, I always liked watching their cs go teams especially their women's cs go team, they were always so talented. But this isn't a great sign for things to come for esports, it seems like it is only going to get worse. I just saw rumors that DIG and 100T are also considering leave the LCS too.
i feel like this is how you bring eyes to the GC scene compared to the other way of doing it lol
If you’re looking for a good FGC signing, Brian_F has just been let go in the CLG fallout. There really isn’t anyone else in the mainstream FGC space who I think is more likely to add value than he is: his CZcams channel is thriving and of very consistent quality, and in general I get the impression that he knows what is what when it comes to the role that content creation plays in branding within eSports.
I'm sure he knows, he basically stole Brian_F's talking points in this video lol
Stocks are falling and bond yields are rising, but markets still don't seem convinced the Federal Reserve will pursue plans to keep increasing interest rates until inflation is under control. I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $ 850k,000 stock portfolio, what's the best way to take advantage of this bear market?
investing in crypto trading is profitable now should be in every wise individual list, in some months or few years to come you'll be ecstatic with the decisions you made today
People think, investing in crypto is all about buying coins and leaving it to rise, come on it takes much analysis to be a successful crypto trader...
The fact is most crypto investment errors and losses occur when investing without proper guidance and analysis of investment risk and percentage return, my advice is for anyone who is not good trading on your own should get yourself a personal professional broker, who will manage your account
Shishido73
I also invest with Ms...Keitha Shishido, she charge a 20% commission on profits after each trading session, which is fair compared to the effort she put in to make huge profits
Damn, thanks for using our website as a source. If you're up for a short interview, that would be dope!
I have been managing and playing for University of Houston's coog esports and work on the board. I hope to work in the esports someday, but to be honest with these current trends it seems like a failing market. I hope that Moist esports brings a new wave of people to valorant because I hope to thrive in the industry someday.
Yeah Charlie definitely just wanted you to take half his bills lol
But seriously, you might have some good players to snag from all this mess
Damn Lud is actually a great dude for supporting people the way he does. He REALLY doesn’t have to do anything.
Congrats and hope the team does well!
I think what needs to happen with esports is that the whole industry needs to adapt and shake things up. As someone who my husband and I plus our friends used to be huge esports fans in the early years, it just feels too same old same old now. I think streaming and the ability for people to have gaming competitions virtually and done by independent orgs/creators has also contributed to it.
I’m not saying that esports needs to do something like this, but like how the Lakers started “Showtime” in the 80s, which helped get the NBA to where it is today, I think something different like that needs to happen with esports.
The rumor is there is a gold backed cryptocurrency now...

Love hearing you guys picked up CLG Red, at least for this tournament. They deserve the best chance to succeed, they're legends!
Pls stream their matches, it would be so fun to watch
its hard to give you more money when your friends are coming out saying you rented yachts for their birthday brother. You're a stake owner now and your content is promoting your assets.
can someone explain to me the point of all womens teams and all mens teams in esports? it seems really pointless. why arent the teams intergender?
There’s a huge ratio of male to female pro gamers so most esports teams would have no women on their team if it weren’t for these “women only” integrations
Basically what the other guy said. If you look at the major tournaments like leagues worlds or overwatchs world cup, there are literally zero women on any of the teams

Wut
what
There's a HUGE difference between promoting for an advertiser in exchange for money and promoting your own organisation because you're passionate about it lmao
@@bruhngl idk, he sure does a lot of gamer e-sport news specifically talking trash about other organizations.
I'm genuinely curious about the business reasoning about the acquiring of CLG Red temporarily. I know it's a niche interest, or if you can even talk about the reasoning. Because to me as an outsider I see the possible upside just being if they win the tournament I'm guessing Moist Moguls gets a cut of the winnings. And I don't know the prize pool, but I'd guess they would have to have the possibility of winning so much that the Moist Moguls eSports cut would be over twice what was invested for paying them. Don't get me wrong, I respect the kindness of helping them while they are in the spot they are in. But like you said, you don't have bottomless amounts of money. So there must have been business logic that this was a good investment and I'm just curious what that was.
most esport orgs run at a loss and Charlie already said that Moist is bringing in less money than it makes so they don’t really care about huge profits, they make enough money with their other content to compensate . as long as the costs aren’t outrageous them taking in a team for 1 tournament isnt impossible.
i think they take 0% of the player winnings... Charlie, and Lud separately said there is no cut from winnings... the business decisions to make profit include -
a) making content adjacent to these teams, including this video, to make money
b) watch parties, which gets insane viewership, like 30k ccv
c) packaging personal sponsors with the teams to make profit.
he has already made a mogul mail regarding this, if you are interested...

No offence meant but women’s valo seems like such a dead end. Hardly anyone even watches men’s valo. I wanna see mxm succeed and I just can’t help but feel like picking up teams people actually care about should be top priority. More power to the girls in the scene, we love ya, but Jesus man. There’s picking up scraps and there’s picking up rotten corpses.
But we gotta support women bro we can't make good business decisions we just gotta support women

My number 1 news outlet. Thanks Mogul Mail 👍
This guy really knows how to talk about this.
moist moguls fostering CLG Red like they’re rescue kittens. finding a happy home for them 😂
This will be disastrous for the cowlady community.
I have a theory that games who give a lot of revenue to orgs will thrive but I could see ones where you have to pay significantly to be in will get worse over time.
Csgo as an example where 1/2 of the revenue valve makes towards the major gets distributed to the 24 teams and dont require them to pay for slots.
Me clicking on the 15th mogul mail video with a click bait title and thumbnail being sure this one will be internet shattering drama (it never is and I’m huffing Copium)
Is there really enough of a difference between women and men in gaming to constitute a women's league?

the fall of CLG really sucks for people like myself in the FGC, run it thursday was so fun. hope the ex-employees and players find a new home as soon as possible.
Would love to see an org like OpTic pick them up. Might have been more likely if they hadnt just lost their spot in valorant due to franchising. They would have been a good OpTic Nation team
