I loved FZ, but I think that's pretty lame. The backlash against disco was always about the fact that disco was associated with gay people and Black people.

MY 14 year old girlscout neighbor wrote the opening Utility Muffin Resesrch Labs narrative to the already existing problematic lyrics of Muffin Man, for a merit badge and a Pass to a Zappa concert at Nassau Coloseum ,in my kitchen with Frank Zappa,while I was writing for Zappas 2 appearances on SNL with Dan Aykroyd ...I had already helped Aykroyd with Coneheads Blues Brothers and Twilight Zone Movie,and I had already helped Zappa write lyrics on Sofa ,Rollo,Billy The Mountain,Greggerry Peccarry as well as actual music and lyrics on Apostrophe

I beg for whoever is in charge of upscaling Zappas archive's to release this whole show on DVD or download, the yellow snow suite is also unbelievably good,m from the same gig by the looks of it, similar line up for the baby snakes movie,(my favourite ever live performance) but this could beat it if I could get a good version 🤷,

David Jackson dude, that would be the greatest concert ever.
I saw Zappa on every tour from 76-88 and there was never an opening act. Many of those evenings had two performances by Zappa, so there wouldn't be time for an hour or more of a concert by an opening act. And, to be frank, being a Zappa fanatic, any other act would pale by comparison. That's not to say any other acts are lousy. I've seen many concerts other than Zappa, including RUSH. Funny thing about RUSH, The first time I saw them was as opening act for Blue Oyster Cult. They rocked! The second time, I saw them as the headline act, and I didn't like that show as much as the former.
I dont know, but alice cooper and mahaviahnu orchestra is among the bands that have opened for frank

I would also surmise that his song Movin to Montana (?)was inspired by the numerous dental floss remnants floating about the tour bus(es) as a result of the women-folk creating beaded jewelry along the way as a pastime. I can just hear him saying "I could have had a much easier life as a dental floss tycoon!"
