Yes. But as a teen in the 70s, I was just too naive and musically ignorant to hear the mastery of his playing and tightness of the band on stage. Thank god I figured it out later.

And.....believe it or not....MOST of those notes were written down!!! Sometimes it just feels like Frank was temporarily possessed or in another world. Only one Zappa per lifetime..... that's all we get....maybe even only one in a century.

You know what really grates me? With the bullshit way the music industry operates NOW…..and with all the ABSOLUTE CRAP the churn out for us…..if another Frank Zappa DID come along, he’d likely go nowhere. And this is no reflection on Frank, but rather the lamebrain music executives and the sheeple who blindly swallow the garbage they’re given. On the other hand, maybe another Frank Zappa is exactly what we need to really shake things up a bit.
