Not nice to hear you haven't been well, but very good to hear that its going better. Very good also to see you again. We can wait for updates on the boat. Most important is that you are looking after yourself and continue getting better. More walks with Bertie and healthier food should do it. Don't stress but have a soft start up with the work on the boat.
Beth, thank you for sharing this. Definitely a wake up call, and so frightening and frustrating that you weren’t able to be hospitalized, get your meds easier, etc. I am relieved to hear that your numbers have gone down and you are feeling better. I understand your need, and want, to get the boat done, but please pace yourself and make time for you and Bertie. Sending you hugs and love, and hoping that you continue to keep the numbers down. ❤️🤗🐾 Kathy
That must’ve been very scary,, being poorly is horrid when you’re alone x So glad your numbers are heading in the right direction. Take care of yourself, and just to say I really enjoy your ‘ rambling ’ x
Glad to see you up and about. NHS is on it's knees. Called an ambulance for my neighbour last week. When they strapped her to the machine her heart was beating 144 beats per minute. She's elderly and has other issues. Over night in hospital. What's going on with all these unexplained heart issues? Anyhoo you're back and I'm pleased to see you 💚
Just going through a similar thing myself. Very frightening. I wish you a speedy and complete recovery Beth. Don’t forget, the squeaky wheel gets the oil! Make a nuisance of yourself :)
Glad that you are on the mend--from whatever that was. Looking after yourself is a very big deal, and the sooner you start, the better the outcome down the road. I'm 10 1/2 months cancer free, but for 2 1/2 years it was a roller coaster ride--complete with a couple of days wondering if I would make it. Times like that change one's perspective, but I don't wish such things on anyone. Stay well!
The folks like you who've walked a hard road but come through have the clearest vision of what's important. It's amazing how much conventional behavior and burdensome stuff we can shed when continued living stops being a certainty. Congratulations on your health status, and may your road ahead be smooth and flat.
@@jeffcampbell1555 quite right. If I were in England, I think I would seriously consider life on the water. It would fit with the psychological realignment that happens when one's life changes dramatically.

So very relieved to have a proper update on your health and to know you are mending. You need to listen to your body or it will make you listen and yours was shouting at you. There’s more to life than doing, we are human beings not just doers. You have all the ingredients at hand for this year to be different, Bertie, boat, brother. So factor in a time to stop, breathe. In the end nothing is more important than your health. I’m sending you an enormous virtual hug x
So sorry to hear that you have been through what sounds like a scary experience. I am sure there are many of us out here who want to see you sailing your beautiful barge so take good care of yourself.
Hi Beth glad to see you managed to sort your health out take the dog for longer walks that is what I have been told I am in the same position take it as a wake up call good luck and good health
Hope this is a passing phase Beth. Get checked out don’t let it go down the priority list . Health is always first. See you on here (probably shifting steel) back to your usual soon .
Hi Beth I have a boots BP monitor and if I ever feel rough I always do a check just to reassure myself. I think the NHS issues are very regional. I had an issue the other day and had a telephone appointment in 3 hours was called into the doctors 2 hours later and in Hospital an hour later and discharged in another 3 hours so I think you need to move near us although you may struggle on the Oxford Canal Take Care
Relaxing is difficult if you have a much loved project always on your mind? High blood pressure can be a signal that you might need to see a cardiologist and maybe a stent or two. I'm presuming that you're on some blood-thinning medication and something for anxiety? As I'm someone recovering from a quadruple bypass surgery and one who career has been very stressful; I can attest that having a project or focus in your life is not unhealthy. Eating junk high-fat food is bad as the excess fat needs to be able to leave your body. Go on a salad and meat-lean diet for a couple of months (i.e ONE Chop only per) and you'd be surprised. I suggest you have an angiogram when your cardiologist/hospital can fit you in? You might need to get some private health for a while BUT remember not having a focus to make your life interesting is not the way to go. PS stents are not hard to do and recovery can be counted in just a few days of gentle walking and the risk of mishap is 1000:1. Stay cool Tiller Queen!
Gosh, Beth, we're here to see whatever it is you're up to. I love your boat, but if you need to read with feet up for a while, we can do the "Tiller Queen Video Book Club." No point fixing up a live-aboard if it kills you! Anyway, you don't seem like a chaise longue kind of girl, and once you're rested you'll fidget until you start tinkering with this n' that. Then you can do a weekly vlog about your smaller projects "Tinkering Queen." It's very scary you got to the point you did, doing your day-to-day thing and not listening your body. Stress and blood pressure must be a vulnerability for you, which is---GOOD TO KNOW.
Sounded like a scary ordeal. Hope you're okay now. Loved the airwolf and topgun cutscenes! hahahaha 🤣.

Thanks, my heart is absolutely fine, just the effects of high blood pressure which is now much lower. I'm also vegan so don't eat meat at all. ☺️
