It's absolutely incredible how fast a few floorboards make such a huge difference in the perception of a space. :)
It's been the best job, it makes the place look like home!
You have the patience of a Saint. It's like a giant jigsaw and I'm lovin' the process. Enjoy your time off work 💚
All I can say is, "WOW". Such a wonderful process.
Taking a day of puttering around is always important! Fantastic shot of the clouds
Very satisfying seeing you fit the flooring with such precision. Doing a great job there. 👍
That was fascinating to watch, so great to see things going in and slowly your home comes together. Well done. Best wishes Christine x
Your woodworking is spookily different to mine. I have at it with a jigsaw, let all the bits break off, have a tiny cry and stick the remnants back together with no more nails. Go you!
I remove bits and you add bits back on! 😁
Great work Beth. Must feel great to get the flooring going. 😊🤗 Kathy
Such a journey! It’s great to see the floor going in.
Hi Beth great job your doing but you need to put a barrier between the steel and the floor, otherwise it will create cold markings on the floor, like black lines where the wood lays on the steel. Same as on Narrowboats that's why they batton the steel. You could get one of those exercise mats for 7 quid and just cut it into strips I think that would do the job :)
Yes, very good point and the ply will be painted with two-pack and I'm also laying on joist tape on the steels!
After months of preparation and lots of hard work, it's just great to see the ply on the floor. A bit strange maybe, but in norwegian we have a different name for floor in boats and ships. We call it "dørk" (The ø is the same as in the male name Bjørn). I'm so glad to see the progres you are making, and as ever, looking foreward to every new vlog from you. Have a great week Beth. 👍
Ah that's really interesting! It's really a "sole" rather than a floor in a boat but I keep forgetting to call it that. ☺️
Brilliant job Beth xx
Great job, well done.
